Islam Tells You To Kill Others That aren't of The Same Faith??!!!!!! email this discussion to a friend?

romo6770 (31)   ranked 485 out of 8,222 in religion5 months ago

Islam does not compel people of other faiths to convert. It has given them complete freedom to retain their own faith and not to be forced to embrace Islam. This freedom is documented in both the Quran and the prophetic teachings known as Sunnah. God addresses the Prophet Muhammad in the Quran:

“If it had been your Lord’s will, they would all have believed – all of who are on earth! Will you then compel humankind, against their will, to believe?” (Quran 10:99)

“Let there be no compulsion in religion; truth stands clear from error: whoever rejects false gods and believes in God has grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold that never breaks. And God hears and knows all things.” (Quran 2:256)

Read this:

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had a Jewish neighbor who use to throw his garbage near the prophet's house, but the prophet wouldn't say a thing and throw it out for him. Then one day there was no garbage, so the Prophet got worried and found out that his neighbor was ill. He went to see his neighbor.

I want to assure you that we Muslims also do not hate non-Muslims, be they Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhist or followers of any religion or no religion. Our religion does not allow killing any innocent person regardless of his or her religion. The life of all human beings is sacrosanct according to the teachings of the Qur'an and the guidance of our blessed Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him and upon all the Prophets and Messengers of Allah.

According to the Qur'an, killing any person without a just cause is as big a sin as killing the whole humanity and saving the life of one person is as good deed as saving the whole humanity. (See al-Ma'idah 5:32)

The Muslim caliphs used to order their military leaders who went on military campaigns to take steps to guarantee this matter. The first example is the command of Abu Bakr to Usamah bin Zayd:
‘I command you to do ten things: kill no woman, no child, nor an elderly person; do not cut down fruit trees, or vandalize homes, or wound a sheep or camel except if you must eat it; do not drown a palm tree, or burn it, do not be treacherous; do not be cowardly; and you will pass by people who have devoted themselves to monastery life; leave them alone to their devotions.’

The second example is the treaty of Umar ibn al-Khattab with the people of Iliya of Jerusalem:
‘This is the security given by the slave of God, Umar, the Commander of the Faithful, to the people of Iliya: they are guaranteed the security if their persons, possessions, churches, crucifixes, and everyone within, whether sick or in good health, as well as everyone in their community. Their churches will not be occupied or demolished, nor will anything be taken from them: neither furnishings nor crucifixes or money. They will not be forced away from their religion, or harmed because of it. They will not be occupied by the Jewish settlers in Iliya.’
As a result, since the era of the rightly-guided caliphs, Jews and Christians have held their services in freedom and security.

Thank you for such an interesting piece of information. I strongly believe that no religion preaches either compulsion or violence. But, off late, the so called practitioners of the religion have taken it upon themselves to make religions fanatic and they tend to mis-interpret the holy books for their own gains. It is unfortunate as to how many young men and women get swayed by such selfish people and make this world insecure.

At the end of the day we are all human beings and we are here to live on this world for a given lease of time (avg. of around 50-60 years) and whatever we do we cannot live much longer than that!! So what's the fun of killing people in the name of religion, caste or money!!

Cheers!
Ram

Islam is religion of peace,it doesn't promote of killing people. Muslim fanatics are
the one who uses islam for vile purposes. Like Christians, there are religion who are
cult who uses religion for money, woman and suicidal acts by drinking poisons. But I think Islam has been split sometime, where many people has different beliefs even Christians, but I must say don't use islam teachings for other uses

Lol where are Christian women committing "suicidal acts"? The only suicide acts I see are Muslim women who start themselves on fire and pour acid on themselves because their lives are so bad.

If Islam promotes only peace than where do people like Osama Bin Laden, the president of Iran and soooo many others get their radical views?
The Quran also teaches to kill unbelievers as well as saying there is no compulsion in religion. Of course Muhommad had to put some things in the Quran to contradict his true feelings.
Why did Muhommad say men could have only 4 wives when he had 21?
Why did he marry a 6 year old little girl? Don't tell me it was the culture of those times, a true prophet of God would have preached against molesting children, not joined in.
The Quran is a confusing book, it's no wonder so many strap on bombs for Allah...

romo6770 (31)   ranked 485 out of 8,222 in religion  5 months ago

*The Holy Qur'an is not a confusing book at all, but you may find it confusing for 2 reasons:

1- There are many verses that must be explained with its historical background and the reason why those verses were sent down to the prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h) because The Holy Qur’an didn’t sent down once, it was sent down through 23 years.

2- You are not reading it in its original language(Arabic), even if you are native Arabian you need some help because it is sent down in the classic Arabic language, that' why to study Islamic religion, you must study classical Arabic language simultaneously.

*Even non-Muslims at the time of The Prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h) didn't find it confusing at all; because it was their language and they were living the history of the verses, but they just claimed that Mohammad (p.b.u.h) maybe crazy or magician.

*The Holy Qur'an is not Prophet Mohammad’s (p.b.u.h) words, it is Allah words. Yes it is completely Allah words.

*I advise you to go to live in Palestine or in Iraq just for 2 hours to know the answer of your first question (that is if it was a real question).

*Who told you that men in Islam can marry 4 wives only?? nooo, one can marry 100 wives if he want, but just can't marry more than 4 at the same time.

*when the verse that prohibiting marrying more than 4 (at the same time) was sent down, there were many men who were marrying more than 4 (at the same time). so, they had to choose just 4 wives and divorce the others. and the prophet Mohammad(p.b.u.h) was marrying more than 4(at the same time)too, but it was an exception from Allah to his prophet to keep all of his wives because if a prophet's wife was divorced she was not allowed to marry any man again after the prophet( according to another verse), while the other women who was divorced can get married again.

*In Islamic law there is a difference between a marital contract which may take place of minors and actual consummation of marriage. The latter cannot take place till the parties reach the age of majority and approve of their marriage.
Age difference is not a moral issue in itself. Even today in the western world there are marriages that take place between parties whose age disparity is quite considerable.

Then, we should look at the historical context:

1. How could any parent give his daughter and the apple of his eye to anyone if this involves "molestation"?!

2. Abu Bakr, Aisha's father, was a highly respected and rich merchant, not one who is looking for any favors at the expense of his beloved daughter.

3. Abu Bakr was not acting like some of today's politicians seeking succession to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and we know that it was not his choice to succeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but it was made by the early Muslim committee after consultation and debate.

4. It is well-known also that Aisha was engaged to another person before being engaged to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). This shows that there was nothing unusual or reprehensible of this type of marriage. Indeed if there was any impropriety, his many adversaries would have used it to defame and discredit him.(so it was OK by all people and religions)

5. It is known that between the marriage contract and Aisha's moving to the Prophet's household, there was a 3-year gab during which she stayed with her parents.(so, if it was "molestation" the prophet shouldn't wait 3 years).

6. It is also known that her moving to the Prophet's household took place in the first or second year after migration from Makkah to Madina. It is also known that the Makkan period lasted for 13 years, and the famous biographer Ibn Is-haq lists the name of Aisha among the very early persons who accepted Islam in the first few months of the Prophet's mission. If we were to add a minimum age of Aisha to understand what she was accepting, say 4 + the 13 years in Makkah + 1 or 2 years in Madina, it adds up probably to 19 years and not only 9, which is the number reported in Al-Bukhari.

7. While the above is more than enough, it is noted also that many historians have debated the age of Aisha when she married the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). One is that some say that Aisha died at the age of 50 after migration, at the age of 67, which means that she was born 17 years old before migration, and since her marriage was consummated one or two years after migration, it must have taken place at the age of 19.

8. It is also known that her sister Asmaa was 10 years her senior. It is interesting to note that Asmaa died in the year 73 after migration, at the age of 100, this means she was born 27 years before migration (100-73). Since she was 10 years older, then Aisha was born 17 years before migration, which is consistent with these other reports.

A recommended reference is a small book published by Ruqaya Warith Maqsood published by IPCI in Birmingham.

In conclusion, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was an extremely intelligent and knowledgeable person whose talents and knowledge was considerably increased through company of the Prophet (Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from early age and was proved to be an instrumental source of knowledge about Islam and the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that is why she is known as one of Mother of Believers.

Bukhari V7 B62 N16
The Prophet said, 'What makes you in such a hurry?" I replied, I am newly married " He said, "Did you marry a virgin or a matron? I replied, "A matron." He said, "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you may play with her and she with you?" .....enter (Medina) at night so that the lady of unkempt hair may comb her hair and the one whose husband has been absent may shave her pubic region.

Volume 2, Book 19, Number 173:

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Masud:

The Prophet recited Suratan-Najm (103) at Mecca and prostrated while reciting it and those who were with him did the same except an old man who took a handful of small stones or earth and lifted it to his forehead and said, "This is sufficient for me." Later on, I saw him killed as a non-believer.

You just cited the two Hadiths and didn't ask about anything and didn't give any comment as if those two Hadiths are clear to everyone who just know English alphabets!!!!!!

-For the first Hadith:-

Volume 7: Book 62: Hadith 16:

Narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah:

While we were returning from a Ghazwa (Holy Battle) with the Prophet, I started driving my camel fast, as it was a lazy camel A rider came behind me and pricked my camel with a spear he had with him, and then my camel started running as fast as the best camel you may see. Behold! The rider was the Prophet himself. He said, 'What makes you in such a hurry?" I replied, I am newly married " He said, "Did you marry a virgin or a matron? I replied, "A matron." He said, "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you may play with her and she with you?" When we were about to enter (Medina), the Prophet said, "Wait so that you may enter (Medina) at night so that the lady of unkempt hair may comb her hair and the one whose husband has been absent may shave her pubic region.

*After the prophet PBUH knew that Jabir was newly married with a matron he asked him " why didn't you marry a young girl .....etc" and Jabir answered" because my mother died and left young sisters and i need a woman who can take after them so i chose a matron " then, the prophet PBUH approved and appreciated his choice.

*The other part..." ....When we were about to enter (Medina), the Prophet said, "Wait so that you may enter (Medina) at night so that the lady of unkempt hair may comb her hair and the one whose husband has been absent may shave her pubic region. "

The prophet PBUH means that one should choose the best time for a visit(for example). but here it is especially for husbands who were away for long time, they must choose the best time to back home.

-For the second Hadith:-

I think your sick mind told you that Muslims killed that old man because he didn't prostrate with others.

That old man is Omaya bin Khalaf and he never was a Muslim, he did that when he was hearing the prophet reading and saw the Muslims prostrate. That was a sarcastic action by him.

and the narrator saw him killed in the battle of Badr many years later (he was fighting with unbelievers against Muslims).

i advice you to spend some time learning something useful and i advice you to think too.

How is that any different from what I said? Can't you see that things were added to the Quran as time went on because people could see how preposterous the book was? You claim to be so smart yet you believe this stuff? You believe Islam is the religion of peace if you want, I know otherwise.
I also know that you can't even think about converting to another religion or even no religion at all. You are a slave to Allah, I (thank you Jesus) am a child of God...

"How could you be the child of God, didn't your father**** your mother so that you come to be their child??!!!!!"

How could you be a "slave" to Allah?

Oh, I'll be using the "one who is using me id dumb" one back soon. This one is a memorial to the 3,000 people who left their homes and families one day, 7 years and never came home.

For what?

Here is an article I was sent in an email today.
45 Minutes that Changed the World - And Saudi Arabia

In an article in the Saudi daily Al-Watan, Saudi liberal 'Ali Sa'd Al-Mussa, a journalist and lecturer at King Khaled University in Abha, argued that 9/11 marked the watershed between the era of Islamist-led Saudi public discourse and the modern era, characterized by active and varied public discourse. [2] He wrote:

"The 45 minutes between 8:45 AM and 9:30 AM on September 11, 2001 were unlike any other 45 minutes in the modern history of humankind. These minutes made it impossible for the world to revert to its former state...

"...As in all societies, here in Saudi Arabia, the September 11 [attacks] engendered a new and tumultuous discourse on all issues heretofore considered taboo - as happens in all societies that relegate to the underground such issues as the media, freedom of expression, human rights, the status of women, corruption in the public sphere, educational curricula and methodology, and the rights of minorities and sects...

"In my society, the September 11 [attacks] stirred up a storm of discussion, aimed initially at making various groups aware [of the fact] that society is a pluralistic [entity, with a variety] of opinions and schools of philosophical and religious thought, and that insistence on painting everything the same color and imposing a single ideology is against human nature... For the first time, both genders were [represented] in equal numbers in the country's forums - [a change] for our society, which was predominantly patriarchic.

"The September 11 attacks left a mark on the cultural life of the nation. [Indeed,] I would not be exaggerating in saying that anyone reading our media after that global event would not [even] suspect that it was the same media it was before. Today, we are breathing fresh cultural air, after carrying oxygen tanks on our backs...

"The September 11 attacks opened up the issue of education and curricula [to public discussion], following an extensive national debate...

"Most of the discussion has so far amounted to nothing more than words. Nevertheless, we have discovered that a very high price must be paid for a lack of openness on these issues. We have discovered that the greatest obstacle [to progress] is resisting change and development.

"After the September 11 [attacks], my society realized that the most important thing is that everything be subject to discussion and debate."

I believe you have been fed nothing but anti-Israel, anti-America propaganda like the first link you have here. I have read it before and I have seen just about all the videos. The second link took me to a video about UFOs, didn't bother watching that.

If you truly feel you see Muhammad with an open mind and heart, then I guess that's your problem. Just don't try to force me to "shut" my, lol "mouth", please. You will only be wasting your time. yawn

Oh and just for the record, I completely understand the remark about "celebrating" 911 from your lol, "peaceful" mind...

You know what? i did replied to your first question while writing my previous reply before asking you that question(that you quoted) but i deleted it.
Maybe it a was a small test, and i got the result.
You know, it was really unexpected to be that stupid because i read somewhere that Jews have the highest IQ, but i don't have to believe this anymore. You already proved the opposite.
Anyway, you may find the answer in that God created us, i hope so. Can you tell you answer now?

you can download this documentary movie "Zeitgeist" as a memorial to the 3,000 "innocent" people who left their homes and families one day, 7 years and never came home.

http://www.petecom.hu/~he...

from our answers and replies in this page( if you analyze it), you can know who is the really fed one and who is the one who think. also you can know from your famous sentence for escaping" do you really believe this?".

for the video link, it was a kind of test too,but you passed this one!! . by the way, it is not my job to bother you, i think you are already bothered( don't ask me from what).also your mouth is already shut, don't you think that you just came here to piss and go away?.

for the record, we don't hate American people but we hate your government.
There is no nation called Israel it is "occupied Palestine" and i hope the occupied word will be removed soon.

also for the record, there are Jews who burn Israeli flag.

I'm not a bit "afraid" of Islam. I speak against Islam for those who can not speak, especially women. If you don't like it you can find another conversation to butt into.

you speak for no one since no one ask you anything.
all you do is waste your time trying to make islam look bad.
in the mean time islam is growing all over the world.

5. AamidMS (69)   4 months ago

Islam is a religion of peace. All folks here, have some knowledge about it, then dare to speak, or shut the crap of yours.
Every religions says peace, but its the followers who distract the image of a religion. Ask yourself what are the conditions? Why and How?
Islam is todays Best religion with worst followers, as quoted by many, see can you replace best with worst and vice versa? Impossible; We don't hate Americans just because of some fools, why would we hate America?
See the logic, had it we hates non-muslims, it would have been all over, why only America? Does America has only a kind of religion which you believe we hate? Does not that religion is found over other places? We hate America as you believe, but we don't hate France, Russia, Germany, Why?
And this is your attitude, you act like born to abuse, be practical, use logic, don't use your ancient mythologies.
Think for yourselves keeping your hatred aside, you will get the answer.
"O ye ppl, look into yourselves, try hard to find impurities, but try very less to find in others"Need some more satisfaction?
Respond to my post.
