When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?

I may not always take the cart back into the store, but I always take it back to one of the designated areas in a parking lot. I do this for a couple of reasons.
I worked in retail before. It stinks when you have to run around and get a shopping cart from across the parking lot. Since I know how it feels, I try to return my carts.
Next, I think they are a danger being in the parking lot. Too risky for car damage, so I take them back.
Yes, it may be their job to collect the shopping carts, but it is still a nice gesture.

It may be their duty, but I always return my cart. If I don't take it all the way back up to the store, then I leave it in one of the disignated areas for shopping carts. One thing I hate is going to the store, it's very busy, full parking lot, and have to get out to move someone's cart just so I can park. To me, it's just being courteous to return it.

ave mine it the little racks they have in the parking lots, I try to make it easier for them but I am not going to walk all the way back to the store with it.

I don't return my cart either. Unless their is one of those things that you can put your cart in nearby. I do believe too that it is their job and they will get it any way. I feel if they are that strongly about putting carts back then they should have more of those things that you can return your cart in. Otherwise if people are in a hurry or if they are just plain lazy like me, lol, then they will not return it. But it shouldn't matter anyway.
