Good question. I think he would be a fun and loving father. But by the time he got to be a father Harry would be an adult so there would not be much to it. If he had not been sent to Azkaban and had raised Harry I think he would be less carefree. I think the responsibility would have straightened him out. I think it was his being locked up that made him more carefree when he was free. He had not had the chance to really be free and so had to live through Harry. Had he been a free man all along he would have been more responsible.

He will be a wonderful father that trusts in harry. I think that it is this trust in him that makes him a better father then anyone else. He was the one that gives harry hope and courage to do things where else lupin dont really understand and trust harry. Thus if Sirius didnt die he will be a good father and fun grandfather:D
