House plants |
| |
| I have had my house plants outside for half of the summer. Last weekend I brought them all back into the house. The house now looks nice and green again. I have about 20 house plants in doors. Do you like houseplants? What house plants do you have in your house? And how many do you have? | | | | | |

| | I like them but I dont have any now. I know my kitty would start munching on them. I am better safe than sorry. I'd like to get some that either cats dont like the taste of or are not toxic to them. I think there are a few that would meet that requirement but I dont know for sure which ones I would choose to fit those categories. | | | | | | |

| | I love house plants but they don't seem to feel the same way about me as they always keel over on me and I have to get rid of them lol . I only have 3 in the house right now . I have 2 Cactus's and another one but I don't know the name of it . I know it will have flowers on it because I had one like it before but for the life of me can't remember what it is called . A friend took it up to me a couple of weeks ago when I was not home and dropped it off so I haven't got a chance to ask her what type it is . I have had just about every house plant you can think about at one time or another and ever one of them has keeled over within the year because of my lack of watering or over watering them . I really need to find a plant that tells me when it is thirsty and when it has had enough to drink and can tell me if it requires more or less light lol . | | | | | | |

| | Peace Lily would work for you. Put it in a pot with drainage holes. Set the pot in a bowl. Do not water it until it lays down, then water it til the water runs into the bowl. After it sets a little while, empty the bowl. Do not water again until the plant wilts. Give it regular house light. | | | |

| | I don't have house plants. I don't have enough window space, the apartment is too small, and my cat would climb and eat the dang things. We have one plant at the house in AZ, and one of my husband's cats promptly ate a few leaves. We ended up putting it out on the back deck (the plant, not the cat!). | | | | | | |

| | I used to have a house full of plants but I only have one now and it is a lily. I was putting mines outside and wasps started building nest in them and I was afraid to water them. So they eventually died. Your post has made me want to go buy more. It used to be every time I went to the WalMart I was in the garden section. | | | | | | |

| | Hi ya Anne18 Well I must admit I'm not very good with house plants, I either forget to water them and they die or I water them too much and they then er um die! At the moment I have two small cacti (there were 3 originally). I am also trying to grow a christmas tree which is about an inch and a half now and is a bit wirey but I am hopeful. I also have a dragon tree plant I think it is called which I love very much. It does need re-potting which I shall do soon, when my mum comes to visit then she can help me because I am such a ham at these sort of things! | | | | | | |

| | I do not mind house plants. I definitely prefer plants that I do not have to tend to a lot. I can get busy and don't always think about the plants so having plants around that I do not have to water often or trim makes it easier on me. Right now, I only have two house plants. I have an aloe plant my partner gave me and I have a bamboo plant that I bought several years ago that is still going strong. I don't have my bamboo here though I ended up leaving that at home. I may end up bring that here sometime though I'm not quite sure yet. | | | | | | |

| | Right now mine are all outdoors. I have rubber tree, weeping fig( variegated) mother in law tonge (sanseveria), aloe, fiddle leaf fig, and several others I am drawing a blank on right now. Easter cactus, asparagus fern (sprengeri) Kalanchoe, pilea, philodendrums of various types, and nephthytis, and another common vine, but I am forgetting its name. It is time to think about bringing them in, though. | | | | | | |

| | I love weeping figs but haven't had one in ages because I kept killing them - years back I had a really nice one but had to give it away when I moved to Texas... LOL you have Easter cactus and I have Christmas cactus but it was funny this year mine bloomed for both now I don't know what they are :) I have cactus with split personality or something :) | | | |

| | I killed the big weeping fig this year, and I had had it for years. This is just a little one in a six inch pot. You decide what your cactus is by the shape of the leaves. Mine usually bloom for Mother's Day, in fact. If the leaves are all rounded, it is Christmas cactus. If it has the pointy shaped edges, it is Easter cactus. | | | |

| | I love house plants but don't have as many now as I did years back. At one time I had 120 house plants. Now I have 5 African violets, 3 Christmas cactus, an Iron Plant (some call them Mother-In-Law's tongue), 3 Peace Lilies, and 3 philodendrons. | | | | | | |

| | don't think so much dear. just think what are the good plants , and helpful plants , what are the kitchen plants, and put some ornamental plants near the entrance of the house , thats much only . don't plant a lot of plant , because to manage the plants it takes a lot of time. | | | | | | |
