Plan to buy a water purifier ,tell me the quality one

I have a plan to buy a water purifier for my home...I have many choices like various brands and all..Tell me some good quality water purifier and how to make a decision to get a better one out of various choices
What are the standard for a water purifier and suggest me a quality one with cost in $...

Try PUREIT water purifier...its a bit expensive but very effective in removing bacteria and at same time hold back the taste of water...my aunt has bought one and they are happy using it...

Some of the water purifiers just filter the taste, so you want one that actually removes harmful bacteria and chemicals. I am a very big fan of the Doulton Porcelain Ceramic filters used in combinated with other inexpensive devices. the Doulton is safely impregnated with stable silver to kill bacteria and can be washed and reused for a long time.
