I was excited when I saw Dr. Burke's picture on one of the final episodes of last season. I knew they were going to bring him back, but they're not. Although it's sad why he left the show, I really did like his character on the show. I wish they would at least give him a cameo or something. Besides, Christina definitely needs a MAN and I think he's the only one who would deal with her. Did you like Dr. Burke? Do you think he should come back?

That's a good idea! I never thought of that. Maybe you should e-mail that suggestion to the writers. You never know....thanks for the post.

Yes, Dr. Burke, the character is great, but the actor who plays the role is a big A------, in my opinion. Imagine calling one of your co-stars a fagot? I wouldn't mind if they don't have him back on the show. And if Christina needs a man, maybe they should bring out a new character who's as strong willed and as good a surgeon as Dr. Burke.

This is a great example of how being in England makes a big difference
to the news and goings on in a popular series like Grey's Anatomy. We've
only had a hint of the furore surrounding Dr Burke and his comment about
another actor. Now the new series has started, and I think we will miss
him, even if or maybe especially because, he was not really one of the
strongest actors in the cast. We will miss him because of the very special
relationship he had with Christina, and because we could never forget
the way he got into her bed in the hospital to the amazement of her mother,
watching wordlessly from her chair in the corner.
Now we're into a new season, a new set of story lines, a new group of
interns, so we need to move on. Christina needs someone else to lean on,
someone else to bring her out of her fragile shell, or a set of story
lines that have her working so hard that she doesn't have time for any
personal relationships.
One other thought for fellow enthusiasts....do you think we will always
have the same group of principals, or do you hope that this new group
of interns will throw up some new heroes and heroines? That takes us
quite obviously to the inevitable question...who else would you lose
now that we no longer have McDreamy's first wife or Dr. Burke?

Dr. Burke is such an amazing surgeon. He's smart, organized and competitive. He's going to do his best to save lives, too sad he has to leave Seattle Grace. I'm also hoping that they would bring him back to the show. Preston is such a nice guy, handsome, kind, talented..near to perfection..^^ how I love grey's anatomy..^^Happy mylotting!

Even if he just stops by every now and then that would be great. He can work at the hospital he's at now (Mercy Hospital I think...) but just come visit McDreamy every now and then or something like that. Then him and Christina have an awkward moment in the hall when they see each other for the first time since the wedding. It could happen.

It's not only dr. Burke that make this serials good, but the interaction between all the character and the conflict between them that make this serial is worth to watch. So, i don't care if he is ever going back or not.

That's true that all the characters contribute to the success of the show, but I still liked his character.

My wife and I watch Grey and she liked Dr. Burke as well. When they showed his picture on one of the last episodes that we saw she thought he was coming back so she got on-line and looked it up and turns out, he's not coming back at all. In fact, they weren't supposed to use his picture at all. Sad situation
