Obama: 'Lipstick on a pig'  |

Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
"We've had enough of the same old thing."
The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

| |  As it has been noted by some, Obama needs to spend less time worrying about Sarah Palin and more time proving he has the experience and skills to run this country.
Now, as to this article I would check it out here to see that it is even true. Facts should be our goal not rumors or statements coming from liberal or conservative sources.

| |  I don't know how you are reading it, but I read it like this:
"Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra." Then, wouldn't he be referring to their new "change" mantra? Seems simple to me. But then, I am just reading it like anyone would. I didn't already have my mind made up about it.

| |  I think it will especially if she keeps drawing the crowds. I heard on the news today that he called her or McCain a "liar". Which they said it the worst thing you can do in politics. What happened to all his arrogance?

| |  I wouldn't read too much in to this. Just an old saying. I have heard it used since I can remember.I seriously doubt it was a direct stab to Palin. Just saying you can dress up the policies, but they're still the same policies. It was a Policy attack, not a perosnl attack.

| | um, no, I have been hearing lipstick on a pig since I was a kid, the first time I ever heard it was from my elementary school lunch lady. Same woman I heard use the phrase making a silk purse from a sow's ear.
