Feeling Like A Stranger

I do not know how many days I have been gone from Mylot, but now I feel like a stranger here. God has been faithful and I am still at the same place that I was before. Come to find out, the eviction notice that the administator gave me had expired. He attempted to order a 3 day notice from http://www.expressevictions.com, but the notice came address to me. I am not telling him about it. Even if I did, there would be nothing he could do with it. There are special rules that you have to abide by when running a place like this. This guy has proven to me several times that he does not have a clue what these rules are, even though he has worked here for at least ten years. Usually, when a person is not able to speak up for themselves or have someone speak on their behave, the administator simply tells them anything and scares them out of here. I thank God constantly that I still have enough sense to speak up for myself and that ability to learn and understand the law regarding these things. They had me believing that I would not even get to have my day in court. Now that the smoke is starting to settle, they are not saying anything to me at all. But I know that at some point they will have to talk to me and I pray to God that he will give me the right words to say. This has been a long four month ordeal and I will be glad when it is over. I realize for sure now that this is an attack of the enemy. Yesterday a friend reminded me that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. This has certainly been a whole lot of confusion. Have you ever had a landlord try to illegally evict you?

I know I've been told that I can be evicted for no reason at all. But, I do know that they can't give you a three day notice except in extreme circumstances like not paying your rent or doing illegal activities. They have to give you a thirty day notice for anything else.

Some landlords are really jerks. I hope I never run into anyone like my landlord again.

Hi Rozie I missed you! I haven't had to deal with eviction but had family who did. They really didn't pay and did deserve the addiction but the landlord was shady and did some unethical, but legal things. Of course they ended up living with us. My family teases me about owning "the family hotel" LOL. Anyway I'm glad you made it through and stood with the Lord in your sights. He always wins!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Unethical in that the landlord/owner notified them he was raising the rent right after they moved in and put the place up for sale. All the things he said wouldn't happen when they viewed the place. There was nothing legally they could do about it.

I have not ever had that situation. I am missing something here. I am not aware of what grounds he was trying to evict you with. I remember you posting about a roommate who was crazy. Not taking care of herself. I will have to search your past discussions. I am glad to see you here. Glad that God had another plan for that quick eviction notice.

Actually, he made up a bunch of lies about me. Then when he was not able to evict me for the lies he told. He attempted to evict me for an incident that had happened a year ago. When the incident happened, I would have been willing to accept the eviction, but not after everything had been settled and a year had passed. It got to the point where he was obviously picking on me and causing my family and I a lot of stress.

Hi, Rosie37. Yes, it has happened to me. How about a Property Manager that was managing the house while the owner was in another state? She sent us a bright neon pink letter telling us that she was going to evict us if the rent was not paid soon. She could not file an eviction because she was not licensed as a Property Manager. So, she contacted the owner and he drove all of the way from Georgia just so he could evict us. The house has bad problems anyway. It needed some fixing up. The bathroom's toilet needed to be replaced. Th entire kitchen needed remodeling. It was just crazy.. She did her best to get rid of us. I am glad that we are no longer living there. My husband dealt with Property contracting and all. This was just one of his deals that had gone sour.

Rozie no I have not been evicted from a place before. I know you much be going through he77 right now. I wish that land lord would do things correctly and then there would not be a problem. Good luck my friend. Did you know when there is legal action going on with a tenant and land lord you do not have to pay rent. That is what I have been told. At least that is what happened to a friend of mine. I would look that one up for sure first before not continuing to pay rent.
