| | I cant sleep either. It is a frustrating situation. I have to take tylenol and herbs to be able to sleep, which is probably not the best thing to do, but I dont know that I have an alternative at this point. I know I'm alittle depressed but I think more it is being keyed up when I go to bed that is the problem. | | | | | | |

| | Don't let life get you down. Things get tough from time to time and yes we all lose sleep over different things. When I worry I can't sleep and my husbands answer to me is don't worry what ever it is will be there tomorrow. As far as letting people frustrate me ya from time to time but I won't lwt them cause me to lose sleep over them or anything ignorant they have said or done that day. | | | | | | |

| | I think from time to time we all feel we weren't or aren't loved enough. Hope you feel better soon and hope you can find the sweet rest you crave and need. | | | |

| | I had the same problem. The sickness in your stomach is PROBABLY (not definitely) related to your sleeping problems. Good sleep is essential for physical and mental health. I would recommend speaking to your doctor about a short term supply (no more than a month) of sleeping medication to retrain your body to sleep. If you don't want a prescription medication or your doctor won't go for it, you can try Unisom, or any other over-the-counter medication for sleeping. I took them to get my body retrained to sleep, and I'm glad to say I don't need them anymore. If you don't want to do medication, try relaxion techniques before bed - Tai Chi, breathing exercises, aromatherapy...anything that promotes a relaxed state of mind or makes you sleepy. If you're a caffeine drinker, cut back on your caffeine in the afternoon. I hope this helps! | | | | | | |

| | Yeah, im not sure what it is, usually when i feel bad i feel like my stomach feels weird too, maybe its stress or depression, i dont know. Yeah maybe i can talk to them about that, are sleeping pills safe? i usually take a shower before going to bed, because i try to relax, but i dont know why the last few days im just getting unhappy or something and i cant fall asleep till im really really tired. maybe i feel bad about myself. i feel lost, and unhappy about myself. | | | |

| | In most cases, sleeping pills are completely safe. My mother takes Lunesta regularly and has done so for over a year. She's just fine. I took Ambien (some weird side effects with that one - I did things in my sleep that I don't remember doing!), and other than that weird side effect, no health problems arose. I took Unisom regularly for months and was able to stop easily. If you get it from your doctor, he/she will only give you a small amount anyway, so the risk of abuse is lower. As long you are aware of what you're taking and you don't abuse it, they are usually totally safe. I hope you get to feeling better. | | | |

| | Hi! The loss of sleep, frustration, and the weird feeling in your stomach could point out to one thing: STRESS. I think you're way too stressed lately, and very anxious as well. I suggest that you take it easy and always remember that you're not the only one feeling the stress of everyday living. Perhaps you should take on a hobby, or read a good book before you go to sleep, or converse with a positive person. I suggest you avoid watching the news or avoid negative people. These will just wear you down even more. | | | | | | |

| | Please, please, please don't take a synthetic medication. I don't care what others say about them being perfectly safe, they are not and can eventually be addicitve. You are in turmoil because you are not seeing your life lesson that is before you. You want to figure it out and learn what you need to in order to move on and be just that little bit more enlightened. Get out of the moment, get out of the box and look at your situation from a bit of a distance so you can see it more clearly. You are here on earth to grow and learn and take back your experiences to God. God experiences through you as he/she cannot. Other people that frustrate you are only mirrors. What is it that makes you so angry about what they are doing or about the condition your life is in. You cannot change anyone else, only your self and your attitude and actions about a certain situation. At night, instead of worrying or being angered by something that happened during the day, figure out why it entered your life. What were you supposed to learn from it? When you can finally take responsiblity for what is in your life and learning from it you will be able to sleep. Still your mind and try to think of nothing. We are a society that has learned to take drugs or harbor addictions rather than deal with our lives. These things only cover up the problem. Why do that - do you really want to come back here and do this all over again and again and again. Let's get as much figured out while we can. Let's do what we came here to do. I wish you luck, my friend. | | | | | | |

| | I can't agree more with kyellis, taking medication is not the last resort to be able to have a good sleep at night. It might help your problem temporarily. You may end as and addictor to sleeping pills because you will have to take it everytime you want to go to sleep. The way I see it, all the problems that you encounter at this moment lead you to a deep STRESS. Life is not called a life if we don't experience all the good and bad things in it. Things happen for a reson. Try to figure out what good does it makes to you. Try to accept whatever happened positively. Grieving will only make things worse. So, I recommend you to prepare a pen and a paper on you bed side table. Whenever, you can't go to sleep take the pen and paper and jot down everything that you have in your mind and heart. Let it flow like a water in the ocean. It will makes you feel relieved and less tension. Other than this, reading is a good theraphy to your mental and physical state. But please take a 'light' reading topic. Goodluck. | | | |

| | I have to disagree. I have been on medication for sleep for some time, and I only take it occasionally, when I am having a very hard time sleeping. I have depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, and from time to time have nightmares and flashbacks which make it hard to sleep. When I don't get enough rest, my depression gets much worse. When my depression is bad, it becomes very dangerous for me- I can become suicidal. So medication for sleep can be essential for me. Kelly | | | |
