Not Walking a Dog, but Seeing the Dog Walk

I think someone may have mentioned this story before, but I can't remember how long ago it was. I just wanted to share this with some of you. I read the story again in People magazine, and was surprised to learn the owner of the dog actually lived in my state. She has a dog that its own mother tried to smother to death. Why? Faith the dog was born with three legs, and only two worked. The third had to be amputated, so she only has two back legs. To get the dog at least a little active, the woman who saved her enticed her to sit up by holding a spoon above her with some food the dog liked. To everyone's surprise, one day Faith got up and walked. No front legs, just the two back ones. The owner of the dog likes to take Faith to Vet hospitals, to inspire the men who have to deal with so much. You can see everything about Faith the walking dog on www.faiththedog.net. I encourage you to take a look. Any other inspirational animal stories to share? I love when people see something special in something or someone that others would simply walk away from.

I checked out the link.. Now that is one amazing dog.. I could see how she would inspire those at the Vet Hospitals to inspire men to not give up that life isn't over for them but just taking a new direction..great post.

I saw an article about her in a magazine. That is so beautiful..a walking dog. I don't understand why anyone would smother a dog. I love animals.

I received and email about it a few months back, and what an amazing dog! I want! Might be able to convince 'Pooch' to mow the lawns or push the pram for me. Darn! That's right, he was shorter than me! lol.
Many people could learn from this dog. Too many of us give up way too easily, and miss out on actually living.

Wow, that is a truly inspiring article and what a sweet
doggie! I wish they would do a movie about Faith. The dog
is an inspiration and a true miracle! I hope someone from
Hollywood sees these articles and does decide to make
Faith the star that she deserves to be. It would definitely
be a good inspiration to all who have disabilities to see
what can happen if you just try to do something in spite
of your own self like Faith has done. This story really
makes me with that there was something that I could do
personally to help get this message out to more people.
Thank you for bringing it to the attention of us mylotters.
I will be thinking about what I can come up with being the
true animal lover that I am!

Hello AmbiePam. Thank you so much for the discussion and the link about this amazing Faith dog. While I feel for the poor dog, I appreciate her master being so nice and kind to her that enables her to live on together with them. Thank you again for the story.

She is truly an inspiration!
Sometimes, I think to myself how many problems I have.
And then I see others who struggle just to live or animals
who have survived great odds and then I realize how lucky I am!
Thanks for the link.
