Have you ever slipped in the bathtub??

I have slipped several times, and I have had many close calls. Also, when my sister and I would shower together as small children, we got into a fight one day that ended with us ripping down the shower curtain as we started to slip, but we caught ourselves at the side of the tub. Feeling like you are about to fall is so frightening. After I catch myself, I always have to wait for my heart to stop pounding. It is very frightening!

Several years ago, I slipped getting out of the tub and broke 9 out of 10 toes! Since then, I'm incredibly careful. I wish I'd learned the lesson in a less painful way.

I fell in the tub when I was a kid. I was shampooing my hair and I went to reach for something in the tub and I slipped. I put my arm out to catch myself and the inside of my arm ended up coming down on the part of the tub where you put your shampoo and soaps and stuff. It hurt and left a pretty nice sized bruise on the inside of my arm. I even hit my head on the way down but thankfully didn't really hurt myself there.

Are you kidding? It's not uncommon for me, we have a bath mat in our tub to prevent slipping but I manage to slip anyway while getting in and out of the tub. I wonder how I pull this off? I could understand if there was NO mat there and I still slip and fall, well maybe the mat doesn't like my feet, or it knows that I don't like it.I don't know about that, but I do know that someone needs to throw it out and get one that actually likes me.

hi silent...i had such a very close call slipping and almost falling. i was using a product that had oil in it for your skin. (NEVER again) it made the tub very slippery and both of me feet slipped several times. i caught myself, thank God and didn't get hurt. i had a friend who fell in the tub and hurt herself on a faucet, poor girl.
