It Was Only A Matter Of Time!!! | | | | The following article mirrors what I have believed would become the turning point of theis entire presidential election! It puts out the possibility that if Barack loses the election in November it will be because he is black and racial prejudices would be the main reason! Quite frankly I wouldn't vote for him if he was white or any other color of the rainbow simply because I disagree with him politically! Here is the article! http://news.yahoo.com/pag... | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | What the study doesn't seem to realize is that current polls don't magically avoid polling people who may fall into that category. If they can cost Obama up to 2.5%, then what that's actually saying is that Obama should be polling up to 2.5% BETTER than he already is. And since the latest round of national polls show him ahead...he's ahead. Any effect that would have is already in there. And before you claim "well, people could feel that way but not be willing to admit to a pollster", well, the percentage of primary cell phone users (mostly young voters), who are going to be mostly for Obama, don't get polled at ALL by these pollsters, and that group easily cancels the other group out (if it doesn't override it), imo. | | | | | | | rodney850 (931)

| | ClarusVisum, Thanks for your comment. Not really my point though. My point is that if he does lose it will be blamed on race rather on issues and I'm not convinced that is the basic problem. YES, I do know there are those out there who wouldn't vote for a black man/woman regardless of their politics but I don't believe that is the case here! | | | | ClarusVisum (1018)

| | "My point is that if he does lose it will be blamed on race rather on issues and I'm not convinced that is the basic problem." I know it won't be blamed on issues, as it shouldn't be. Obama is with the majority of Americans all of the biggest issues to voters--if the election was decided 100% on issues, McCain wouldn't have a chance. I don't think race would be explicitly blamed, though--the tactics of McCain's campaign (Rove and his disciples, and guys like Askew, who smeared the crap out of McCain in 2000) are most likely to be blamed, imo. Probably a generic 'steering the public eye away from the issues' would be the reason given. | | | | | | | Obama Campaign Offices Find Local Barack Obama Campaign yellowpages.com | add comment | | | |

| | It's his own fault, as I said before, he is of 3 heritages, it was the perfect oportunity to run for pres. as a multi-national-heritage man. HE chose to say right from the beginning, that he is running as a black man. Right there HE made the decision to keep up the color division. It was one of the first things he said, and one of the strongest statements too. Now, stereotyping is wrong, but the fact is, many people still do it. Obama keeps saying he's going to bring the country together, but how, HE is perpetuating the division by color just as much as any backwoods redneck. (No offense to rednecks, just illustrating a point) HE is making this election about race. Not us. His choice, not mine. If you say anything against Obama automatically you are a racist, even if the statement has no bearing on race or color. He is causing more friction between the color than anything any single person has done in the past 30 years. I'm not saying he should deny any part of his heritage, in fact, I'm sayig the opposite: he just should have given tham all equal play, it would have been a better strategy if nothing else. | | | | | | | rodney850 (931)

| | Thelastwolf, Thanks for the comment. Your conclusions are spot on as usual! I would like to comment about the following: "If you say anything against Obama automatically you are a racist, even if the statement has no bearing on race or color. He is causing more friction between the color than anything any single person has done in the past 30 years. I'm not saying he should deny any part of his heritage, in fact, I'm sayig the opposite: he just should have given tham all equal play, it would have been a better strategy if nothing else." This has been one of my major sticking points with the whole Obama campaign. Why do you perpetuate division when there is no reason and in fact it downplays some of your strengths? To be not only black but white also would have spoken tons in the struggle to unite a nation! He (or his puppetmaster)chose to ignore his white heritage because they believed the demographics favored that! | | | | thelastwolf113 (2987)

| | Demographics and statistics can only go so far. When the human element is invovled all that goes out the window. Humans are a wild variable, one can never predict what a human will do, LOL I'm disappointed in Obama, when he first announced his intentions to run for president, I thought This is Great, This is EXACTLY what we need to help make us ONE PEOPLE, a multi-heritaged man, how perfect is THAT! It wasn't long before that hope got squashed, almost immediatley. So much for Obama being the Great Hope of America. I find that the BIGGEST problem with the people of the US is this: we do not call ourselves Americans, we're hyphenated Americans, constantly dividing ourselves by descent. We will never be ONE people, simply Americans until each of us gives up the hyphen and becomes only Americans. Yes, even the white people do it, ask us what we are, we won't say white because we don't define ourselves by color but we do define ourselves by descent, we'll say Irish, Italian, Polish, etc. No, we didn't come from Ireland, Italy or Poland etc., our ancestors did. We were all born HERE, so why do we all feel the need to define ourselves by something that has no bearing on now, today, this moment? | | | | | | | Electronic Time Capsule Great Gift for Your Children. | | We all knew this would come if the election was close, and let us not forget sometime in October the U.N is going to tour America to study racism. America will be viewed as a racist country if Obama loses, no two ways about that. To me Obama is a lefty and I would not vote for him just like I would not vote for Kerry, Gore, or Clinton. Kerry, Gore, and Clinton were white so did I vote against them because I have a distrust of white people no because I have a distrust of liberals. Now the big question will those Democrats that will vote for McCain, how will they be tarred as racist. Of course will can throw the racist comment right back at them. Take for instance the 2006 Senator race in Maryland Republican Michael S. Steele who is black vs Democrat Ben Cardin who is white. Did Steele lose because of racist white Democrats would not vote for a black man? | | | | | | | rodney850 (931)

| | rodney, that possibility has been at the back of my mind since the beginning. In spite of what people say there is an undercurrent of racism in a lot of their minds. It's not a popular belief to own in today's world, no one wants to own their tendency to discriminate based on race. It is not considered "politically correct" in most circles. But if there was no such undercurrent then programs such as affrimative action would not be deemed necessary by those who support them. Add to that Obama's latest ad targeting Mexican Americans specifically, I think Obama is setting the nation up for those riots that people are predicting when he loses the election. | | That is very true, most people will not admit it though. I cornered my Mom on this issue and at first she denied it but then little things started creeping into her conversation. So I confronted her again and she admitted it. However I do not think Obama is promting it, but then again that is my personal opinion. | | | | | | | Join Emily's List Help Build a Progressive America! | | His race was actually what drew me to him as possibly getting my vote because I was very interested in change and getting away from all the republican mistakes made in the past 8 years. After researching him myself, not accepting the media's opinion of him, I began to realise this was not a person I would want as president but I was still feeling pretty safe with the Democrats as I always had Hillary Clinton to vote for as I thought Bill Clinton was an excellent president, maybe she would more like him, so all was well. That happy thought was quickly dispelled when she did not get the nomination. Then..... as I became more aware of all the rumors, secrets and skeletons in Obama's background I bought both his books to see if there was anyway I could see what the real man was behind the "empty suit". Boy oh boy I got more than I bargained for!! There is no way in this world Obama would get my vote. I am now convinced he would just be a puppet controlled by the enemies of the USA. However as this is just my opinion I do hope I will not be subject to any more insults from his supporters as I have experienced in the past couple of weeks here on myLot. | | | | | | | | | | Dukes of Hazzard Video Exclusive Coverage at Inside Line Free Video, Photos, Much More. www.InsideLine.com | add comment | | | |

| | Race is not the issue that they are trying to make it out to be... Obama has no business being president simply because he has no clue about reality. He is running for himself, and not for the good of the country. I could care less what his race is... what I do care about is whether or not a candidate shares my political beliefs. Obama does not even come close to representing mainstream America, and has should himself to be an out of touch elitist who cannot relate to the average American. The only reason they are playing the race card is because they know he does not measure up on the issues, therefore they try to portray political opposition as racism since they have no other argument. | | | | | | | Destiny007 (4866)

| | Black, white, purple, or green. I don't care what color Obama is, I would not vote for him because he doesn't have a clue. He isn't doing this for the benefit of our country. He is doing it for the benefit of HIM! And no I am not racist. My granddaughter is mixed race. I just don't like Obama and is ideals. I think he will do this country irreparable harm. | | | | | | | | | | Get Involved America Election America t-shirts, pins, mugs, stickers plus - great prices. www.BalanceAmerica.com | add comment | | | |

| | If Obama loses the election it is because of race and here is what is sad about it. Everyone including repbulicans agree we need change, no question, and if Obama was a white man offering the type of change he is then everyone would be voting for him. White america would rather suffer 8 more years of hardship than to vote for a black man. Even professors and scholars have said the next 8 years is scary under the republican rule but are unwilling to step forth and support the democratic party. The real reason is race and that is the bottom line. | | | | | | | | | | | | Custom Website Analysis Our analysis will show you how to fire up your website overnight! www.ezplancentral.com | add comment | | | |
