Which is harder to do? To forgive or ask for forgiveness?

im not sure i they are both pretty hard...

I would say it is harder to ask for forgiveness then to give it only because when you are asking someone to forgive you, it is because you know you did something wrong and not only was it wrong but you got caught!!

Forgiving someone is something that comes from the heart and will take time depending on how bad the hurt was so although this is hard because you are hurting inside you are not the one who is asking to be forgiven for what you did . Not sure if I made any sence or not but I think asking for forgiveness would be much harder to do . I have never found it hard to forgive . I either do or I don't and then try to move on with my life.

HArd for me to forgive and I have never asked them to forgive me for what they have done after awile I just as soon for get is all!

It will depend on who to forgive or to ask forgiveness to. If I consciously erred, I ask forgiveness right away. If I realized it later, I tend to clam up. For those who did me wrong, and I was really hurt, it takes a long time for me to forgive. There are cases that I will never forgive until I die.

To ask for forgiveness and be successful is a lot harder than forgiving. Unlike when we forgive, it is easier because we have control over it and it's just within us to find in our heart to forgive. To ask for it is another story. We don't know what's going with the minds and hearts of those we have wronged.

to answer that question,talk to god. he can really help you on that situation.or speak to your priest.also look in your bible.

i think both are hard if your heart is still not willing to forgive or to ask for forgiveness.. well, in the forgiving somebody kind of situation, it would only be easy to forgive if the person asking for an apology is really sincere and if your heart has opened up and accepted the apology. and in asking for forgiveness, the person must be really sorry about what he or she has done and that there is acceptance in his or her part that he or she has hurt the person or did something really wrong for the other person to feel bad about him or her. so, it really depends.

i think to ask forgiveness, cause before you ask forgiveness you should accept it from yourself that that is was your fault, but some of us or mostly of us doesnt accept or its hard for them to accept what they have done was wrong.

In my case, I think it's much harder to ask for forgiveness. That would mean admitting that I was wrong first. I don't really hold grudges, but I can't forgive and forget. I'll always remember what someone did to me if it was hurtful. But I can movie on and still be friends with that person.

DEpends on the kind of a person you are and the person you are dealign with.

Someone good at heart will be forgiven by someone else who is good @ heart, but this might not be the same in all situations!
