Can anyone recommend any books about the last survivors on Earth?

Any novels, adult fiction, with the same basic story-line, though different events of course. For instance, maybe zombies are roaming the world and only a few people are left. Any ideas? Thanks, it doesn't have to be zombies, but along those lines. Kinda like "I Am Legend".

Beirut, a play by Alan Browne. It's a disease play. It's sort of like AIDS but worse. It's an amazing read.
