an electric blanket when it is cold? I have a space heater, but I do not like to use it too much, because of the electricity it uses. It is almost the equavalent to using an air conditioner.
I have an two electric blankets, for some reason one of them does not work anymore, and it is the newest one I have. It has dual action, so that my husband does not get the heat if he does not want it.
Do you ever use a space heater or electric blanket?

This old house uses oil heat and it smells horrible, so I use a space heater instead of using the furnace whenever I can.
Yes, it costs to use the space heater, but it is more expensive to use the furnace, and at least with the electricity I can spread the expense out over each month rather than spending $900 to get oil.
I was hoping to be out of here before the cold set in, but I don't think that's going to happen now. I'm hoping I can get by with space heaters until I move.

Wow, $900.00 for oil, that is a lot. I rent my apartment and sometimes the landlord does not have the heat high, he has it just enough where it is legal. I tend to stay cold, so I need additional heat
I like the electric blanket, so that I can warm my sheets up before getting into bed.
