I went to the vet today with my pet and whilst waiting saw two dogs. I got chatting to the owner. She said one dog was deaf and the other was blind. They always went out together so they could help each other. A man walked past with a basket of kittens and the blind dog sniffed the air. I think that it is excellent when someone gives a home to two dogs that are disabled. It think each dog is quite special and the owner treats them in such a heartwarming way.
Do you know a dog that is special in some way?
Do you know of anyone that has given a loving home to an unwanted animal?

All my pets are special. But I have a 3 legged dog who's wonderful. I don't see her as being different than my 4 legged dog just because she lost a leg. She's smarter for sure, but she was born smarter.

Where I go to my retreat, there is this man who is blind and he has his guide dog with him and everyone remembers the name of the dog but forgets the name of the man, Tom! It's quite funny! The dog takes Tom on the beach and I went with him one day to the beach and the bond between man and dog was fantastic, it was like his own son! He was more than a dog, he was his eyes and his shadow, the dog never left him for one second, it was truly wonderful, animals can do so much for humans.
