Are you outgoing or are you shy?

I am a very shy person that's why I like mylot so much, I don't really have to meet anyone, I just get to know them by writing to them. It works well for me.

I still can be shy at times but i do try to talk to people and make new friends.
As a child i was painfully shy when i was at nursery i would only talk to one child. I would not even talk to the teachers.
They actually thought that i could not talk.
So my parents done a tape recording of me talking to prove to them that i could talk.
I have found that once i get to know someone that i no longer feel shy with them.

I am a very shy person, BriNbai, but I like to meet people and usually do a good job doing so. I often greet people wherever I go, and have no problems with conversation.

I would say I am more shy then outgoing . I used to be really shy until I worked at a call center a couple of years ago and somehow this helped my out with being shy and I am no longer as uncomfortabel around people I don't know then I used to be but I am still uncomfortable in a setting where there are many people I don't know . The more people I know in an area the more at ease I feel .

Hey there, I am in fact, a very shy person and I am trying very hard to cure myself from these 'disease'. I am so shy that sometimes people think that I am arrogant because I seldom socialize. So, nowadays I try to focus on my job and try very hard to not be self-concious and just focus my attention to other things rather than thinking if people are looking at me etc.^^

i am quiet and mellow but i like meet people and socializing.
when i was a kid i was very shy and refused doing anything oral reports. the first time i did an oral presentation was in my mba program. as i got older, i didnt care anymore.

I was extremely shy when I was younger, I don't talk to anyone I don't know and will not entertain guests even our relatives! But, I changed and improved my personality when I was studying specifically when I was in High School and College! It helps me build self-confidence and self-esteem!

Well, I guess it depends on the situation, to the people around me and my mood. When I was a kid I'm a really shy kid but I dont cry, I just smile and thats it. As I grew old, I encountered different people and personality so I guess I inherited some of their personality. There are times I'm out going and sometimes just kept silent. I realy don't approach strangers but when I need to approach them I have to especially asking directions. LOL!!! But I'm a bit choosy on approaching people. LOL!!!

If it's work, I really have no fear - I could walk up to a stranger at a seminar or exhibition, and start talking. And usually I am able to get the information I need.

However if it's a social thing, I prefer to stand aside and observe people and happenings. If given a choice, I would not socialise after work; rather stay at home and do the things I like - reading, watching TV or myLotting!
