Wristwatches are more useful nowadays, and they are more popular, but I'd still love to give my man a pocket watch. I think it's classy, elegant and it's simply timeless. There's something in it that makes it really look special. What's your opinion about this?

These pocket wathes are not so popular in our country. Then mobiles have also eliminated their importance now-a-days.I have stopped wearing my wrist watch b/c I cannot take care of both the things as my mobile is giving me correct time and i can also use its Alarm to wake me up........I think every one wants to become carefree now a days and it is good to have one thing in pocket rather shoving two and losing both or one outside......Please make a choice yourself !!

I find them beautiful and classy, and virtually worthless.
As nice as they are I think they are nothing more than a novelty item or an antique now, because, as neat as they look with a suit, its so much easier to look at our wrists, or for some reason, cell phone. Actually if you think about it the cell phone is the new pocket watch.

I love pocket watches and have several myself. I have an allergy to most metals (nickel in particular) so I cannot wear a wrist watch unless it's one of those plastic ones (yuk!) So, I always carry a pocket watch. Some of the old pocket watches were beautiful! The newer ones don't have that luxury look to them anymore that the older versions did. I even have one that is on a necklace, very old, but beautiful :-) I don't think they'll ever really go out of style even if many more find their cellphone easier. I think the look is classic!
