hi there fellow mylotters! it is really hard now to budget our salary especially if we're renting a house, and we need to pay for utility bills and the food for everyday, right? and sometimes our salary is really not enough to cover all those stuffs., so in order for us to survive we need to have a tight budget on it.,like in our country i guess i need to have P50,000 - P70,0000 salary range for me to cover everything.,but lets face it, that range is just for a managerial position and my salary is 30 percent of that amount. arrgghhh! really! thats why i am trying to find some part time business for me to have an extra money. how about you guys, do you think your salary is enough to cover up everything? how much salary to you need for you to survive? thanks for responding in advance! happy mylotting! myliezl0903 manila, philippines

Here in the USA things are really expensive. With the price of gasoline going up and up and up, and the cost of everything else going right along with it. We do not have enough money to live comfortably on. I work part time and have disability to depend upon. My husband has two jobs and he works all the time. I know we could not make our bills if we did not have his second income. My part time job is only if they have enough work for me to do.

do you realize what you just said? how can me and my children survive with just little money? rent, electric bill, water bill, transportation allowances, food, other comodities such as shampoo and those likes. my first born is in college already and i dont think if little is enough. maybe if i am single then a little is enough. just imagine for food. breakfast, lunch and dinner. and on weekends were they are all here at home they even ask for merienda.

I live in the United States and it takes each and every family alot of money to make ends meet each month. It costs my family around $2000.00 per month just to pay our bills alone without the food and extras.

I wish I had a managerial salary too. Then I can afford to maintain a car, the cost of buying clothes for the office, the cost for air conditioner during the summer. The list goes on for ever. I do believe that if we wanted to we can budget and manage, but once they are used to living a certain life style it is much more difficult to adjust when there is less money.

I have yet to face the problem because I am still young. But after calculating, a family need at least a SG$5,000 month income to live a comfortable live. I'm not sure, but cost of living is high over here in Singapore, while our pay package is puny.

Combined, my husband and I bring in about $2,500 a month, and we do OK. I only brought in about $1,000 a month when I was here on my own, but between the two of us we do even better, especially since we only have to pay rent on one apartment. When he was working in AZ, and I was up here in ON, things were expensive!!

If I'm not mistaken, we are in the same country, friend. And I'm quite familiar with you because you responded to a lot of my discussions recently. And I'd like to thank you for that. Personally, I am currently receiving a gross monthly pay of less than 20,000 pesos. My husband and I both have separate jobs but even with this status, we are still finding it difficult to make ends meet. In fact, we can't afford to hire the services of a nanny, so we had no choice but to leave our only child with my parents in the province for nearly a couple of months now. We are still in the process of paying-off all our monetary obligations with various individuals and institutions which really burden us. We are still surviving but we're definitely hanging on a very tight budget. If and when all of our loans have been paid, I guess 25,000 to 30,000 pesos is enough for me and my family to live. However, when our daughter starts schooling, I think we need to have more than this; maybe about forty to fifty thousand pesos. Like you, I try to augment our meager income by earning extra income through the internet and other lawful ways offline; aside from conservation of resources and energy.
