IMO no, there are definately more men..AND I would tend to think that men are more inclined to be repeat offenders and career criminals as well.

In my country yes there are more men than women in Malta. I don't know about other countries but I think that it is a trend that is followed everywhere.

I would say that there are more men in prison, but the number of women in prison is on the rise from what I have read and seen on TV.
