Changing the ORDER of your FRIENDS... It would be NICE don't ya think?

The other night I wanted to PM one of my friends.... I went to my profile, not listed there on the front, so I clicked on the friends page. I don't know how you all feel, but I approve everyone who sends a friends request. Anyway I had to search through like ten pages. I was going back and forth, thinking I might have missed them... click 3, no try 5, no must be four, crap it's not that one either!! Finally, I found who I was looking for and sent the message! How aggravating it is to have to search through your friends to find who you are looking for!! SO, did I miss something here on myLot, can I arrange the way my friends are listed OR am I rightfully aggravated?

Seems myLot has worked hard on something unpopular such as the option of tagging each message. On the other hand, they forget popular things such as the option of tagging friends.

Yep, they did a redesign right when I got here. Seems they should have checked the other social sites or polled it's members!

I think that a sorting feature in the friends page would be ideal to sort out this problem. I had your problem too, fortunately enough my friend is in the first page, so I had not any problems finding my friend.

Oh goodness yes, I wish there was a way to configure them somehow, it doesn't even matter how, just give us an option, or make them alphabetical or whatever. I can never find someone when I need them so I usually just go back to my old messages and try to find them that way, which means I can't ever clean out my messages. And don't tell me to put tags on them so I can find them easier, because we've been down that road already, right?

I have only one solution... Make an HTML box on your profile linking to friend's profiles. OR Maybe we could bomb myLot with help requests... a couple hundred thousand users asking for help organizing friends. OH NO TAGS WILL NEVER BE RECOMMENDED BY ME!!!

I haven't figured it out either but I have noticed that it is often not intuitive to do a lot of things ... even something like setting up your avatar.

I was going to post a Discussion on this topic but found yours so yes, I am going to agree with you. I really don't like that we cannot change the order in which our friends display on our profile. It would be nice to be able to also flag our "Top Friends" (no offense to anyone) because there are members that I relate to more in the voice and topics of their discussions and am truly interested in what they say. I know that there is the "Notification" setting on each one of our friends here but was unaware (or forgot) until today that the default is set to Off. I think it should be set to On until we feel that we want to turn them off.

I can see what you mean. They are listed in the order they were added and there does not seem to be any way to change that. It would be nice if we could arrange them alphabetically I think so that you can find the name you are looking for much more easily.

I'm like you in the sense of wanting people I respond to the most to be on my front/first page and others after that..so even though you accept everyone I've started deleting alot that never respond to anything i do..the joy of this is i can move my REAL friends up a page..now this will never be like myspace that lets you have the ones you want for your top 24 unless they are reading this now and get jealous and say.."We will show her"..lol.. huggs

That's the same question I have when I saw my friends list. I hope mylot could do some sorting with that. Like, alphabetically or chronologically. But don't fret, redkathy! I'm sure we don't have to wait long... Let's just give it a little time and wait. Enjoy!

possibly u might have done in such a manner see if ur really donot want others to view ur profile u can lock right ..........or just leave them with out visiting them.......best thing i can say u is when ever u go on road u are watched by many seeing ur style...so will u go and beat them or shout at them...... so just better leave or ask in frndly manner ...if u wanna make frndship........... dats alli can suggest u ........
