What toys to buy for a 10-month old baby girl?

My lovely daughter is turning 10 months in 5 days. She is growing so fast that it is becoming hard to keep up with her developments. She's becoming more and more interested in playing and I feel that her toys should grow with her. I like buying her toys that would develop her learning and which she could explore. Right now, she has 2 shape-sorters from Fisher Price. She has outgrown her Jumperoo but still likes to be on it every now and then. I recently bought her a Stride to Ride walker (Fisher Price) and she loves it, though she's only been able to make a few steps. Aside from these she has lots of toys that makes sounds and lights and she loves toys that she can slam or bang against each other. What other toys can I buy for her that would help her developing brain? Any suggestions?

Your daughter must be a darling. Well, I have sons, but sometimes, the same toys apply. Does she enjoy watching you cook? Well, here in India, we mostlyh use steel utensils. So I kept some of them apart (the small ones) and I used to give my sons the same to play. Of course, with a few spoons. I used to put some puffed rice into 2 bowls, so he would actually imagine serving, then splash some around, and then finally put some in his mouth. Big plastic blocks could also be useful.

Yes, she is a darling, as all babies are I think. :-) I don't think she can play with steel utensils yet coz I'm afraid she might hurt herself. But I might try plastic spoons for her feeding time. Plastic blocks, hmmmm, good suggestion. My daughter likes stacking things up, so she might enjoy these as well. Thanks, trixy!!!

Well, I'd have to start by asking you. Does your daughter walk by her self yet? My 14 month didn't really start walking intell she was 10 months. She loves too look at books and have them read to her. The lego big blocks would be a good Idea. My daughter also loves to put them together. Leapfrog learn and groove musical table. Laugh and learn song and story musical chair. My daughter also has that and she loves it. A play sweeper. I hope any of these suggetions will work. Happy Mylotting!!!!

my daughter just started cruising but she still can't walk unsupported. She has books and she likes flipping the pages but she starts tearing the pages up when she gets bored. I have seen the leap frog learn and groove musical table on ebay and I was quite interested. With your recommendation, I am now more convinced to buy it. Thanks a lot!
