Do you take the time to make your own pasta or do you buy the dry stuff in the boxes at the store? I have never tried to make my own pasta. It seems so time consuming, but I am sure it tastes better. Got any homemade pasta recipes you would like to share?

I don't usually now, but in the past I have made home made spaghetti noodles with a pasta press (to make it nice and flat) and it is so much more delicious than the store bought stuff. I should buy a new machine and start making it again, I am sure it is healthier than the dried pasta you buy in the stores as it is freshly made and you know what ingredients are going into it.
I do sometimes make a pasta named gnocchi by hand. It is basically a potato dumpling that is boiled and then you can put any pasta sauce that you like on top. The traditional sauce is red sauce like marinara. You can also put alfredo, pesto, four cheese, whatever you prefer really.
Now I am hungry for some of these!
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

My mom used to make home made spaghetti noodles. They were so good. And she made homemade sauce too. I miss my mom's cooking. She really was the best cook ever. I am lucky too because my wife is also a really good cook. I never go hungry - that's for sure. And pasta is my favorite meal.

I have never made my own pasta. But I have had homeade. It is really tasty. I tend to stick to the store bought pasta. It tastes good. And I am sure it is less time consuming.

My mom makes her own noodles for beef and noodles and they do taste alot better than the store bought. I have never learned how to make homemade noodles though I am not much of a cook I buy either the boxed for the frozen noodles.

Making pasta is really easy.
You need to start with semolina flour to get good results. Add water and mix an kneed then let it sit a while kneed again then roll out and cut. I make it all the time. I also use dry Italian pastas for a quick meal if I don't have any dough in the refrigerator.

I don't know how to make homemade pasta. And I haven't tasted pasta which is homemade.I just buy the ready made ones at the supermarket. It's less time consuming and you don't make a lot of mess in the kitchen. But I saw once on TV how to make but I'm not interested as much as I want to cook and eat pasta.
