The animation sequences are stunning. It is also funny. All the elements of a great animated feature were present in this movie.

| | | | | | | | 1.  steflane (1240) | 1 year ago |  I love that movie. The animators/artists did an amazing job keeping to the African culture and wildlife. I have a Laser disk of the movie and it shows the behind the scenes making of the movie. The animators brought lion cubs into the disney studio so artists could study their movements and mimic them in animation. Pretty cool. I think working for Disney animations has got to be one of the coolest jobs out there. Unfortunately, most disney/animation movies have gone completely 3D, which leaves little work for the talented artists that made movies like Bambi, Snow White, Fox and the Hound, and Pocahontas come to life. Digital 3D animation has taken the most of the art and charm out of movies - except for Pixar studios-they do an awesome job keeping the right amount of detail in their 3D animations.

| | | 3. hellcowboy (4851) | 1 year ago |  I agree the Lion King is one of the greatest Disney movies ever created it does hva great music,the characters are amazing and fit into the story perfectly and the people who do the voices are perfect,the animation is fantastic in ever way,and I loved watching the movie when I was a kid,I also loved the Lion King 2 Simba's Pride and I love some of the songs in that movie two,and I even got a soundtrack of songs from that movie.

There is so much that went into it that made it a great movie and wonderful for audiences of all ages. It is a good movie that I would be allowing my kids to watch when I have kids someday.
