How do you score as a judge?

Are you a high, average, or low scorer? I am sometimes asked to be part of a panel of judges, and my scores are usually lower than most judges. One reason for this is that I consider that no one is perfect and there is always room for improvement. I usally score the first at 90 (if good) or 85 (if average) or 80 (if poor) and judge the next one relatively to the first. I avoid scoring only between 84 to 86 as this would have little or no effect to the average score of which case I might as well not be in the panel at all.

Practice makes perfect, learning by doing.
