Hey Darlin, I would be happy to help you change your furniure around. I just got done cleaning my furniture, yesturday I cleaned the carpet. Everything is looking so nice and clean. It smells good too. My carpet and furniture was so dirty. Now with the kids out of here, and most of their stuff is gone with them. I finally got my house back and can get my house in order. Its been such a mess with everyone here. My little guy came over, he is here now. He doesn't feel good and is taking a nap. He didn't want to go home and sleep. Next week I go with my mom to see my sis in Virginia, I will be gone almost 2 weeks. I am going to miss Mylot, but I will be back. Take care Marcie, its always nice seeing you here.

Yes, that is something I have to do clean my furniture, I was just telling another Mylot user that. Always good to see you too! Give Lizzy a hug. There is this cute little baby boy across from my Apartment he is so cute he always waves at me when I go to my car, I am always giving him cookies and different things, he has blues eyes. He is so cute. Lizzy will be walking soon won't she? How old now? I know she is really growing fast.

Boy, you're two steps ahead of me lol. I want to rent the carpet cleaner again, but I just haven't gotten to it. Usually it gets done in the spring, and in the fall, when I can have the windows open so it can dry better. Congrats on getting your house back lol! Gee...We;re going to miss you while you're gone on your trip! Have a safe and happy trip :-)

Hi honey,
There are many believers of fengshui around of which you might be familiar with - see e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fengshui .
Once we have a fengshui master to decide the layout for us we normally don't make any major changes.
But I suppose as time goes by, you know, things happen and we will be tempted to make things "right" ourselves. It's usually no biggie anyway since it's all about energy flow.
If we feel a particular arrangement makes us feel better, then likely some new factors have entered the equation and our supposedly better new arrangement may really turn out to be the new good one.
So if you feel that the new arrangement suits you better, I would say go for it.

I don't do it. This is only because of the way the rooms are designed. For example, I have a sectional, L shaped couch with love seat, wedge and couch. If I move it around, it would not look so good. It would look off.

To tell you the truth I hardly ever change my furnature around. I do not have too much room to move things around. So I just leave things where they are. I also have 2 kids with OCD and that would just freak them out. Lol!! I think it would be fun, but my wife would probably differ in opinion.

Some of the pieces of our furniture are quite old which we would definitely would like to change. We take time in selecting pieces and moreover hubby is also preoccupied with his work. Lets see when do we change.

Hi there marciascott
Good to see you so to speak!!
In my house there is no other way for me to put my furniture! If I do move it around it is to have a good old clean but then it gets moved back again. Take it easy moving your furniture around you don't want to damage your back, make sure you get someone in to help you!!

Yes, I will probably get my Grandson or my Son-in-law to help. I wouldn't dare do it by myself.

I love to move stuff around every now and again. It gives a fresh look, plus it doesn't let the carpet get consistently worn in the same paths. The only thing in the living room that I can't move is the sofa. There really is no other place to put it, so it has to go on the longest wall which faces the picture window. One of my friends suggested I put it with the sofa back to the window, and I just couldn't imagine looking at the wall instead of nature lol. (Of course I didn't move it there!) It's fun to switch around here and there, I probably do it a couple times a year, spring and fall, and then again I move it around to accomodate the Christmas tree and all. I'm really lucky, my one daughter loves to help me re-arrange!

Another one of my favorite mylot ladies. Its nice to see you, I am going to miss you all while I am gone too, I won't be gone that long though. I have a small Bissell steam cleaner, it does a good job. I got it years ago on sale, I am so glad that I bought it. It has paid for itself many times. Its wonderful having my house back and its even more wonderful with clean furniture and carpet. WooHoo.

I got new furnature when I moved into my current apartment 7 years ago, and I still have it. my husband and I are thinking of switching out the couch for a futon, but we havne't gotten that far yet. We are hoping to do that within the next couple of months or so, once we figure out where we are going to send the old couch. LOL

if you have the room to do it, yes by all means do it for a change, but unfortunately I do not have the room in my house to do it. My place is just so small.
