I think some people don't have loyalty to their employer. I think many employers also don't value their employees anymore. What is the longest length of time that you have worked for the same employer? For me, 7 years.

I would say, yes I am not loyal to my employers. I have never worked in one place or the same company more than a year. One time, I had worked as a cashier and I was doing well but I got fed up with it so I had to resign, my supervisor and manager was very disappointed about it. And I had to work for another company a different job, and then later on I realized that I am treated better in the company where I was working as a cashier, so I applied again. But they put me down, so they got their own back from me, now I felt how they fell the day I had to leave.

The lonegst I have worked anywhere was a little over ten years at the same factory. I no longer work there because I am disabled. I just want to point out just because someone switches job doesn't mean there were not loyal to their previous employer. All it means is they were not getting what they needed. So, they moved to a better job. It could be for a better job position, better pay, or the job was closer to home. So, it takes less money for travel. Where more money can be spent on the home.

Yes, I know you are right. Please don't misunderstand. I am not saying that everyone who has ever left a job has no loyalty. I believe loyalty to your family or other obligations must often come first. I have seen people who don't care to keep a job and quit at the drop of a hat. I have also seen loyal employees leave for personal reasons or because their employer does not value them.

Hi Lee_Rites, some company do still value the employee. But agree with you is not many. I have been working with my current company for 5 years and i believe will continue stay longer. I would said the main reason is due to the manager or superior instead of company. I do have friends jump to new job because of ex manager requested that even though there have no increment or additional benefits for new job. For me, i feel that to have a good manager is difficult than company. Everyday we need to report to them on status and progress, if we having difficult to get sync, how good is the company also i will say bye bye.
