The Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales.

I am reading today's newspaper and the first thing I that catches my eye is that the Clydesdales are to be the highlight of our Christmas parade this year.
For all that don't know who are what the Clydesdales are, they are the world famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale hitch team, pulling the colorful wagon with the usual Dalmatian dog sharing the drivers seat.
I will be at the Christmas parade this year, I love those big horses and I am taking my camera too.

I absolutely love seeing these horses. They are gorgeous in their movements. For such a big animal, they carry themselves with such grace. I never tire of seeing them. I have actually had the privilege of seeing them several times over the past 10 years. I hope to see them again soon.

The traditions and legends behind the Royal Lippazon stallions are really cool. I also like the move known as the airs above the ground.

Another great Horse Show is the Lipizzaners.
I've seen these beautiful white horses amny times as well.

Here in Minnesota we are lucky to get the team at our local State Fair each August.
They perform at the rodeo and English Horse shows at the fair.
These are HUGE horsaes and a beautiful sight to experience.

At our State Fair people can come up and pet them.
Very gentle as most horses are.
Another great team of horses to se are the Lippizziners.

I love the clydesdales, some of them are stabled at Sea World in San Antonio, and the one time I went there, there had been one born on my birthday, it was only 3 months old and already the size of a full grown quarter horse! They are beautiful animals. I went to the Farm Show in Harrisburg Pa this past January, and not sure of the exact breed, but there were some solid black draft horses there, and they were beautiful.

I like outstanding animals of all kinds. The only time they have been through town here, though, they were conflicting with a local tradition, and I did not have time to go see them.
