I have two cats now, plus one stray/street cat that comes over regularly for a treat. There was a time when I had as many as fourteen cats.

We've got 3, they are all siblings from different litters.

I only have 11. Well actually 13, but one is a foster kitten and has been promised to a nice family. The other is a 3 month foster. Her owner is having chemotherapy and her daughter asked me to take the cat for 3 months.
Depending on how many cats I take to America for rehoming this year, 1 or 2, I might be down to the single digits. I haven't been in the single digits is years thanks to irresponsible people allowing their cats to breed and then dumping the kittens on the street.
I hate people who don't desex their pets. There is no excuse. It is part of having a pet, as is going to the vet when the animal is ill.

I have 4 cats in my home and 2 outside. One of my cats is 13 years old and we've been through a lot together. Two are cats that my sister rescued and couldn't keep. Then I have one that my other sister and I bottle fed since she was 2 days old, the lone survivor of 5. The two outside are visiting kitties really, but are very attached to us so we call them our outside kitties. The key to having a lot of cats is to have a lot of litter boxes and keep them clean.
