Are you addicted to these type of drinks?

My thoughts are simple, if you brew it or even like it cold, and drink it regularly as long as you enjoy it, and you feel you can't start your day out right without it, then you're probably addicted.
Based on my personal definition above, can you start you day out without drinking one of the following beverages? If not, why do you think you cannot?
Coffee?
Teas?
Soft drinks?
Cappichino?
For me, I normal start my day with coffee, not that I don't ever drink anything else, but the smell of it, and the soothing flavor of it makes me enjoy it. So for me, although I drink practically everyday, I cannot go longer than 48 hours without it or else I get headaches from the caffefine withdrawals.

Just make sure you are drinking enough water to combat the acids and caffefine from those soft drinks and thanks for sharing.

It helps a lot, as long as you keep drinking at least half your body weight in ounces of water daily, and then the equivalent amount of ounces the soft drinks you drink, you should be fine.

Headaches are generally a symptom of caffefine withdrawal from sodas, caffefinated beverages and the such. If you only drink one cup per day and drink plenty of water afterwards or before, more than likely you won't ever get a headache.
The headaches are signs that the drinker has had too much caffefine in their system for a period of time. Once your system has become dependant on the substance, it sends out craving signals (better known as headaches) to tell your brain, hey, we are missing something today aren't we?
After a while though, the headaches will stopped and if the chemical is either given the opportunity to come back (another drink of a caffefinated substance) or if it was replaced with a better solution, like water or something like that.
Thanks for responding.

I was reading through some of those responses, some very funny, lol. I never understood how people can drink black coffee, I tried it and NEVER liked the taste. That's what I would call a coffee addict, or someone who really needs their caffeine in the morning, just my thoughts, lol. I've never thought of myself as being addicted to anything but if came down to it, I guess I would really miss not having my morning coffee since I do have to have a cup every morning, so I guess you would call that an addict, lol. I love the smell in the morning and the taste of the creamer and sugar in my coffee. I've never tried going without a cup of coffee so I'm sure I would probably end up with a headache too.

One cup a day is hardly an addition problem as long as that is not the only beverage you drink in a day. Caffeine takes a toll on many people, due to the chemical associated with it (I'm by far not an expert on this). But I do read a lot. Our bodies are mostly made up of water, and therefore when there are other chemicals added, it makes the water that is supposed to be working to carry the cells that hold the oxygen to parts of our body, become muddy or chemically imbalanced.
It's the imbalances that causes the challenges in most folks bodies. Yeah I agree, most of the responses I've gotten so far are a riot. Thanks for participating!

Wish I could send a bunch of ninjas to combat those headaches. Whenever the do come, I usually grab a cup of coffee or soda and that does the trick ~ Who needs advil or tylenol, when you have:
*folders
*maxwell house
*starbucks
*coke
*pepsi
*dr. pepper (just what the doctor ordered)

ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT IS LITERALLY TRUE, because I don't normally know what to say to make a discussion on mylot, but yesterday, as I was drinking my coffee. It dawned on me, hey I know some folks like coffee as much as I do, so why not find out how many?
When I read your response, I literally laughed out loud, because it was true in my case.@hdjohnson (2981)

I am starting my day with a cup of black coffee. I am having another few cups during the day but i don't feel addicted to it. I don't drink coffee during my holidays or if i don't have time in the morning.
I don't feel bad if i didn't have a cup of coffee in the morning. I don't feel that i missing something. But if i am having a chance i like to have a cup of coffee.

Black, yikes!!!
My goodness, my coffee can't be drunken alone, it must be paired up with the dynamic duo (CREAM & SUGAR).
My father in law drinks straight black coffee, and has done it for years, actually still does it ~ his favorite brand is Folgers
