Trying to maximize your intake of disease-fighting antioxidants? It is always encouraged that you to get your antioxidants from delicious whole foods. Whole foods contain many health benefits that can't be isolated in pills. Antioxidants are naturally occurring nutrients that help slow the effects of aging and prevent heart disease and cancer. Scientists believe that some antioxidants are more potent than others and the potency of antioxidants can be affected by how they're cooked and digested. For example, the antioxidants in blueberries lose their potency when cooked, while the antioxidants in tomatoes become more potent when cooked. Below are some foods rich in antioxidants. Try to include some in your diet today. 01)Kale 02)Red kidney beans 03)Pinto beans 04)Blueberries 05)Cranberries 06)Artichokes (cooked) 07)Blackberries 08)Green peppers 09)Garlic 10)Raspberries 11)Strawberries 12)Apples 13)Spinach 14)Pecans 15)Sweet cherries 16)Brussels sprouts 17)Yellow squash 18)Black beans (dried) 19)Plums 20)Pomegranates

i don't take any supplements at all. my partner used to take them and encouraged me to take them. however, i either forget or too lazy to take it. recently quite a few number of studies were published and they all pointed out that pills as supplements are not useful. one study even went as far as calling vitamin c pills expensive urine. as most of the supplements are synthetic in nature, our body is not able to absorb them. so now i try to get a balanced diet to get all the nutrients i need from natural foods. however, out of the list of 20, think i only include them in my diet once in a blue moon. guess i'll have to get used to the seed-stuck-in-between-teeth feeling and include more berries.

I too always forget to take my supplements. And my wife is giving up trying to get me to take my supplements. That is why I try to vary my foods when I eat. That way, I ensure that I at least get a little of what is needed to keep healthy. Though I tend to overdo it on some foods. Like fruits, they are good. But the sugar content is also high. Eating too much will also add to the weight! So, in a nutshell, moderation is still key to healthy eating.
