Which do you prefer when gift wrapping? Paper or bags? Do you think one saves more money then the other? Why do you like one or the other better?

I prefer gift bags, mainly for my sons benefit. He has CP and can get them open and dig into what is in them.

I just think that the bags are so decoratuve. Yes, they are easier to open and I have found for family members that have arthritus in their hands , it has also worked out better. appreciate your response! Happy Mylotting!

I use bags - I can buy a million of them for really cheap ... usually I get gifts in bags (YES I RECYCLE MY BAGS). I don't think I bought wrapping paper in years.

They are eaasier. I have so many pretty ones left from last year that I cannot see any point in wasting them. I love the pretty colors and the gold and silver are beautiful! I need to get bows because I dont have any and I am already wrapping.

I have a question for you. Do you mean which would I would prefer to give or get? Personally if I am giving, I prefer to put things in a gift. They have alot of cute ones and i don't have to worry about wrapping the present. As wrapping paper never seems to last til the next time it needs to be used in my household. I also tend to keep gift bags and reuse to give thme to someone else.

IMO wrapping paper is much cheaper than bags but our of pure laziness I have bought bags. Although this year I shall be much more frugal and just use paper.

I prefer gift wrapping better at Christmas. For birthday's, showers or other occassions gift bags are nice. Gift bags can run more expensive but can be reused.

I have quite a few new bags from last year. They will be perfect but I also have unopened paper from last year! I have to see how much we will need to buy!

Well, for myself I prefer gift bags as they are less messy and can be reused over and over again. For my kids though, I always try to wrap their stuff because I think that is half the fun of getting presents! I also do gift bags for other people, the girls like aranging the stuff in the bags and stuffing it with tissue paper. :-)

Yes, I am reusing bags this year! I like the sizes because sometimes for the larger families , those huge bags are really nice. Sometimes, I wrap them and put in the bagslol

I though it was nice because we throw away paper and we can reuse those bags. Just wondered about how much paper gets thrown away all the time. Yes , kids do like unwrapping better. Its alot more fun for them!
