| Have you ever did an extra credit project for your child?  | | | |  Have you ever or would you ever do a project for your child last minute to help them out? My son is in 6th grade and skipped to 8th grade Math, Reading, and Language Arts and he has a huge load of homework every night. So I helped (and I did just help) but I really just wanted to do it for him. He's just so tried with all the work. What would you do?

| |  I would help, but I wouldn't do it for him. Then he won't learn, which is the point of the project. My main question is if he has too much work already, why is he bothering with extra credit? If he's been accelerated, he shouldn't be behind in the work. Perhaps he's to far ahead.

| | He is a straight A student and takes on these projects for the just in case- he is a complete over-achiver like his mom (that would be me). But often the work is geared toward extra points on a test and that's why he takes it on.
