Were You Disappointed With Smackdown vs. Raw 08?

For me the choice of wrestlers were not as good. I think they should have had more legends as well such as macho man,jake roberts,ultimate warrior. Also the lack of enough submission moves compared to the 07 version. I did however like the special abilities that wrestlers could have such as powerhouse,technical,submission,hardcore,brawler,dirty,showman. The 09 version that is coming up is going to have it where you can create your own finisher which looks great.

i was quite a fan of WWE until it became too unrealistic and over-dramatic and i lost interest in the game as well.
the first few games of smackdown on the PS2 were simply superb, like "shut your mouth" and "here comes the pain" and then they made the smackdown vs. raw and none of the games took the series to the next step. the only good thing smackdown vs. raw added in its first title was a little tweak in the fighting system and they just released the same-ish game every year with just new (and boring) wrestlers. and they kept up with their dreadful voice acting and commentary.
i haven't played this game since a couple of years and i don't think i'd be picking it up ever again when there are far better beat 'em ups out there.

I have never been a real big fan of wrestling games but I have played some pretty good ones in the past,I have heard a lot of good things when it comes to Smackdown vs. Raw 08,and I have heard it is a real awesome game that is a lot of fun to play, but from what you have said,it does sound like it would be quite a drag compared to the 07 version,but there seems to be a lot of hope for the 09 version and I think it might be a game I might look into getting because I have not played a wrestling game in many years.
