How many good nights....

Does it take for your little one to go off to sleep. I was laying in bed with my 3 year old last night and she kept in saying..."good Night" and I would say it back and she would settle and then she would start talking again...It took like 10 good nights....What about your kids...Is it easy to put them to sleep or does it take a few good nights or a lot.

Not too much trouble. Had to tell a story to my older son. Had to just give milk in a feeding bottle to my younger one. In a couple of minutes they would be in dream land. They are grown up now though. But I do miss those good old days when they were little kids.

LOL I'm looking forward to those days when they are all grown up but I'm sure I will feel differently when they are all grown up....thanks for the response.

how cute! for my son, it depends on his mood really. On some nights he’s so excited over something that he would keep on repeating himself and even imagine a lot of additions and on those nights, don’t even bother counting the ‘good nights’. Otherwise if he’s tired or just OK, he would doze off after maybe one or two ‘good nights’.

My daughter used to do the same thing to my husband and I. She just did it because she did not want to go to bed and go to sleep.

When my kids were little like that I remember them always wanting a drink or something just to prolong the issue of going to sleep. Now my daughter is 8 and she goes right to bed everynight at 8pm. We have a ritual that we go threw and she goes right to sleep after that. No more 10 minute good nights here.

My son used to say night night and we would say night night backa and he would keep that up for 20 minutes back and forth with the night nights before he would go to sleep. My daughter you just have to cover her up and say goodnight and she turns over and is off to dream land.
