Is it a sin to use artificial family planning methods?

I agree with the first poster, somehwat. I don't think babies are a gift or a blessing. They are just that: babies. If someone doesn't want to have kids, then by all means, take birth control. Sadly enough, getting a tubal ligation or getting something similar done to yourself is next to impossible if you're not over 50 and have children already. Most doctors are leery of "spaying" a woman before she's had kids. I'm on the Depo shot. Have been. Got off of it to get pregnant. Got pregnant. Gave birth. Then got back on it. I don't want "stair step" kids with each kid coming 9 months and 15 minutes after the previous one.
