do you have family game night?

I am like one of the posters above, we have a family game night, but it isn’t really a set night. We usually play games about 2 nights a week. It truly depends on the day and how it went. My daughter is 4 ½ and she loves it. Her favorite game in Cariboo, which is like a little treasure hunting game. I can’t say enough about the Leap Frog board games. They are pretty cheap and a hit in our home.

Yes we do, about every other week. My girls are still pretty young though (9 and 4) so our games are limited. We can't wait to play more games when they are older.

We don't. I sure wish we did when I was growing up. when I asked my parents or sister if they wanted to play a board game with me, they were always too busy.

We use to have game night once a month with a friend of mine and her family. Now that our kids are older, it is so hard to get them to committ to staying home and having game night with us.

Yes, we do. Although it's not a set thing. We just do it when everybody feels like playing. What's funny is that we usually end up having a family game night when the power's out and there's no TV to watch (We're mostly a DVD watching-together family). The kids love playing charades and we'd have so much fun guessing the right answers. But there are also times when we choose to play games instead of turning on the TV. Like the other night, hubby and the kids tried out the Scrabble set they unearthed at my inlaws' house. They wouldn't eat dinner until they've finished the game!

I just responded to a discussion about a family game night. I think it was a couple of years ago when we were into Scrabble. It was about the time the new Deluxe Scrabble set came out. It was fun! We had a good 2 or 3 months doing it once a week. We don't have game nights right now, but we do have in-house movie nights!
