I have always been a comparison shopper. If there is something specific that I want to buy, I will see what the stores are selling it for, then I will go online to see if I can find it cheaper. If I can, I look at the shipping and handling fees to see if they would add up to more than what the stores are selling it for. If it's still cheaper to buy it online, then I'll do it that way. I've found some really great deals online... much better than any of the stores. It all depends on what you're looking for, if they are on sale in a nearby store, or what the total fee is online with shipping and handling fees.

I think the price online is so much cheaper compared to the price in the store, because there are no rent calculation in the online shops. But for me, it wouldn't be cheaper buying things online because of the shipping fee to Indonesia from the US (because lots of good and reliable online shops are from the US)

Thats very true. Those shipping fees get way too high. I think its a shame that the shipping fees are so high , especialy this time of year and because people are trying to stretch their money!

When I need something to buy, I usually check the deals online first and print those that I like. Then I check our local stores for comparison. There were many times that I ended up ordering online than buying it direct from local stores because some online deals are better. It's not always the case but most of the time it is. Sometimes the cost of shipping and handling is expensive that I have to buy it in our local stores.

For me, it can often be more economical to shop online. Many online stores do not charge sales tax unless you live in their state. Also, many have specials of free shipping! If there is not free shipping or it is high, I avoid the site. By shopping online I save gas, the headache of crowds and having to rush (I don't get off work on many days until 5: 30 and by the time I do dinner and such it is 7...and the stores close by 9: 30 or 10. I simply WON"T brave teh weekend crowds at stores!

I love to shop online. I don't live in town and the only place close is Wal Mart and I can't find all the gifts for Christmas there. I like the ease of shopping around and comparing prices online and having the things shipped to me. So for me it is money saving not having to go in town and all over town from store to store, shopping center to shopping center and mall to mall.
