Well It probably has to do with the fact that I drank a Red Bull after i woke up. But i woke up early and started on my computer doing some homework and stuff. So yesterday was my day working at my unpaid internship and I usually go in at 10:00 and leave at 3:30 but yesterday they had an event with some writers and I stayed to help. My boss said that I should go in later than usual so I arrived at 10:30. I did a few things like get his mail and sort it out and then some random things. Then I had to go outside and buy some grapes for the reception after the event.
Okay the funny thing is that I don't really know too much about the streets in lower Manhattan and I'm learning little by little since I started college. So yesterday he gave me $20 to go and buy red and green grapes. He wanted five pounds of each. He told me to go to third avenue where there is a fruit stand. I had no idea which way was third avenue. The office where I work at is located in 68th street. So I asked the receptionist in the first floor of the building which way was third avenue and she didn't know exactly but she pointed me to go straight after I got out the building. I was so relived because after walking only three blocks I was in third avenue. I didn't see any fruit stands but I asked a guy who sells food in this cart if there was a fruit stand around there. He pointed to me across the street and I would have slapped my forehead except that I was talking to my mother at the same time.
I crossed the street and sure enough there was a guy selling fruits. And really cheap compared to the price that they have in the supermarket that is near me. It was $1.50 per pound. I bought the ten pounds of grapes and then left. I was so happy that I was able to do that fast. And the good thing is that I was feeling like I wasn't doing too much in the internship. Like most of the days while I'm there I am able to do some of my homework and then go to the PTC sites that I am a member of. But I understand that it's because i'm not getting paid and he probably doesn't want to take too much advantage of me. But I was happy to do something other than prepare packages to mail out, get his mail or make copies of something.
So the event was at 7:00 pm and the writers were arriving. The host of the event was a writer herself and I got her water and I was able to speak to her a little bit in Italian. She was speaking some stuff to another writer earlier in Italian because he can't speak Italian and i was able to understand most of what they said. My job during the event was to stand at the top of the second floor stairs and give each person that was there for the event the program that detailed what was going to happen. I was able to hear and see what was going on through a small TV outside. So the even finished at like 9:00 and then everyone was invited to eat and drink. I was able to drink a cup of sparkling champagne which tasted really good. The waiter didn't even ask my age or anything. So I got home at like 10:00 and still had some work to do. I was hungry 'cause I didn't eat much during the day and ate a soup. I went to sleep at 11:30pm and now here I am doing my homework.
There is another event next Wednesday but I don't really think I'll be able to make it. After that there will be another event the Thursday after next week. I'll probably be able to make that one.
This post is really long. I think it may be a record for me. So what did you guys do yesterday? Was it eventful or did you just stay home and do small errands and such? Waiting to hear from you guys. ^_^

I just started working a part time job outside the home. We moved back to a familar area so I picked up some work to keep me busy. I forgot what it was like to be on my feet all day. Sounds like you had a fun day, your post wasn't long, if you only post every now and then you have the right to get lengthly.

Yeah I wish I could post more often but as you can see I barely have time anymore. But I try to come on here every once in a while. I'm going to see if I can participate more during my lunch break in my internship so that I can reach payout this month. I'm not getting paid for working there so I need to make as much money as I can for the metrocard. Have a nice evening.
