Should I refrain from eating anything before I go to a restaurant?

If I'm planning to go to a restaurant, somewhere in the afternoon, should I refrain from eating anywhere that day before I go to the restaurant, or does having breakfast and some small snacks later the day have little influence on my appetite later that day?

we went for supper on our anniversary which was this past friday and i dont eat big meals and i find that the meals that most restuarants serve are quite large. anyways, i had breakfast late in the day (because it was a day off for the kids so i didnt have to get up early) and a cup of soup for lunch and i still couldnt eat all my supper (my hubby had some).

Eat, but don't overeat. The amount would depend on what time you're going. Mid afternoon, have a light breakfast, maybe a snack at lunch. If you don't eat anything, you can actually reduce your appetite.

I would not change my normal eating habits. If you normally have breakfast and snacks before this time in the afternoon then I would do the same. Your body is used to the way you eat every day and altering that routine could cause overeating when you got to the restaraunt resulting in sluggishness the remainder of the day.
