"Two white supremacists allegedly plotted to go on a national killing spree, shooting and decapitating black people and ultimately targeting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, federal authorities said Monday. In all, the two men whom officials describe as neo-Nazi skinheads planned to kill 88 people — 14 by beheading, according to documents unsealed in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tenn. The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community. The spree, which initially targeted an unidentified predominantly African-American school, was to end with the two men driving toward Obama, "shooting at him from the windows," the court documents show." -- http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jsCEnrVzDQoU5tg63njLNy0UTDNAD9435AK80

You asked up there, "Why are all the assassination plots in the US directed at people who talk about bringing everyone together and living in peace? Ever notice that? " Ever listen to "Cult of Personality", that song really answered that question for me. On to your discussion lol It's awful that in this year this disgusting things are still going on. I can't stand when people think they are better than someone else especially because of color.

By the way, how come the media is so reluctant to call these people terrorists. If a guy who never killed nor tried to kill anyone can be considered a terrorist, surely a pair of people plotting to literally kill OVER A HUNDRED PEOPLE deserve the title, no?

Well by very definition there the terrorist has to produce fear. I'm pretty sure that there were some black people that this did cause fear, especially the ones that were around when this happened oftened. terrorist- "2. a person who terrorizes or frightens others. Yes, I heard this on the news, on Fox. This is despicable. It is unbelievable that people who think like this still exist today. neo-Nazi -- what makes them think they can do better than Hitler did at changing the world to their liking? I heard it was going to be 88 black people and 14 "non-whites". Absolutely unforgivable. Can you imagine the heart ache and the pain in our country if someone were to assassinate Barack Obama? It doesn't matter who you vote for, it would be crushing to the American people. I am old enough to barely remember when JFK was killed, and I remember better when MLK, Robert Kennedy were killed. It is scary to think these kinds of people can be living here right beside us.

I heard of this. I must say this has been one of my biggest fears since it was first announced that he was a candidate for the Presidential election. My next fear is that once he gets into office there is be several more attempts or plots on his life. It is horrible, and sad. Granted there are still a great number of racist people within out society, but I think it is obvious there is a larger number of people who are more accepting of all races and support one another. How can you be in this country and forget that majority rules in a democracy? I am seriously worried for the safety of or Presidental elect.
