Do you brush your dog's teeth? I try to brush my dog's teeth every day. Some days I forget, and some days I'm just too busy. But I do brush her teeth most days. I actually enjoy brushing her teeth! I have a lot of fun doing it! A dog trainer once told me you should brush your dogs teeth every single day, but that is an unrealistic expectation for most people. She said as long as you do it as often as you can, you should be good. And I once had a vet tell me you should brush your dog's teeth 3-4 times a week. Remember, if you do brush your dog's teeth use special dog toothpaste because it's not harmful if they swallow it!

No I dont, but my dogs get chewies or raw bones quite regularly....But I did work for a place where we brushed the dogs teeth everyday...They were great and got used to the routine real quick...

I can honestly say that I have personally never brushed a dogs teeth even though my family has always been a dog family, and we have always had chihuahuas for as long as I can remember, and they are really small so it would probably be easy to brush their teeth even though they still might try to bite you,and I am not sure if my mother has ever brushed our chihuahuas teeth, but I kind of doubt it,but it would be very interesting to see how they would respond to having their teeth brushed, because they like getting a bath,so they might like it.

I use to brush my dog Petey's teeth. I was the only one that he'd let do it. I'd get a towel, sit on the floor with him and brush them. I always used regular human toothpaste and he never had a problem. Now our cat Morgana...I wouldn't even try it. She would bite my finger off if I even attempted it. I'm afraid that anyone trying it would need to sedate her first. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**

Yes. It is important to brush dogs teeth for them everday. They are just like us and will get decayed teeth if we do not brush them. I think every other day would probably be fine, at least you are a good owner and do it when you can. Some owners, dogs teeth are rotten and this is not kind to the animal. They will have tooth ache just like we get. I know a girl who had to get all her dogs teeth pulled out as she did not know that you had to brush a dogs teeth.
