Which one do you prefer to wash with? Light or dark colored wash cloths?

There is actually one particular wash cloth I like to wash with, and that's only because it's a red wash cloth. I don't like to wash with a light colored one unless I wash out the wash cloth really good before I put it in to the laundry hamper. I usually don't use wash cloths, but use loofah's, so when I do use a washcloth it's few and far between, and usually just to freshen up if need be. My grandmother, and I suppose she still does, would take a washcloth after using it and rinse it, then wring it out to the point of it almost being dry, wherein she'd let it sit before dumping it into the "dirty clothes pile" (psst : between us, it was just a pile of laundry on the floor! )

It really doesn't make me any difference, as long as I get cleansed, don't think it's a huge deal! Now if I had to choose, I guess I'll go with dark cloths, they don't get as dingy as fast! Taripre$

I actually don't have a preference to the color as long as it is clean. I'm curious as to why you would even want to know???

i like dark colored ones because if i had lighter colored ones and they got stained i would always think they were dirty when i go to wash my fash.. of course i learned this from buying a set of light blue towels and i have no idea what got on the wash clothes but they have black spots on them and i washed them a million times so they are clean but look like crap!!

any of it i love this job i mean i love doing this washing clothes specially if new and all are mine

Hi cream97, I don't mind what colour clothes I wash really but the light colour is better for me as I can see better. Tamara

well as i really like to wash colored ones not so delicate i mean no need to soak it in longer periods so that it will become more sparkling white and clean not compared to colored ones...but since i like white color t-shirts and undies then i guess i had to be patient especially on the washing part..

We have "hard" water. It tends to discolor light colored wash cloths. I do however have both.

I have both but the dark colored ones definitly hide stains better. I use bleach in the washer with them but they are crafty in their stain grabbing abilities and even though I know their clean, it feels kinda dirty to see them stained and washing with it. I know it's weird. I feel weird just for thinking about it. :-)
