I live in a subdivision with uniformed small houses. Yesterday one of my neighbor woke up to find out that somebody was in their house and stole some of their stuff and money. I was looking and listening to their conversations as a third party. And this morning when I wake up, I was the victim. Somebody was in my house, stole my TV, my brother's shoes, sweeped my wallet which I found in the sink empty with all the money gone. It was the money for my son's birthday this Nov. 2 and my Mom's on Nov 4. I was devastated knowing that I withdraw the money just yesterday and the only thing left in my account. I went to the grocery store and just bought the super necessary things because I was trying to be frugal. Had I known, I could have spent everything. I sleep in my room with my son and the nanny which I leave open, the man or men actually went inside to get my bag. Nobody woke up. My son woke me up 6am in the morning and told me, "Mom, our television set is gone." Our window was destroyed because they used it for their entry.

I'm so sorry to hear that. That is so scary, I can't imagine how frightened I would be. Especially with a child in the house. With consecutive robberies in one area, hopefully the police will be some effort into staking out the neighborhood? I hope you have police in that area who will do something like that. That is a real life not funny Halloween prank. No a prank to the people victimized.

Hello AmbiePam! I went to the police with the help of my neighbor. I didn't have a single penny so we used his vehicle. Unfortunately, our police here is almost of no use. They came and found out nothing. I was thinking if it happened in the U.S then they would have lots of gadgets to find out and look for prints. Our police here are bunch of losers. I think my neighbors are now watchful. I've seen some of them roving the area, it's around 11pm here. But the robbers strike us around 3am to 5am. thanks, sheena

Sometimes the police, even here, don't take fingerprints. I think in the case where someone was home they do. But if a person is robbed when no one is in the house, I don't think they take fingerprints. At least in the very big cities. The reason is because there are so many robberies, it would be too costly and take too much time to process them all. I think though that is only the case in the very large cities. And if someone is home I think that qualifies to get fingerprints since people were put in danger.

This is terrible sheena and I'mk sorry to hear it. It must be a horrible feeling to know that someone has been through your house and your things while you were asleep. It is probably a good thing though that no-one woke up and interrupted them because who knows what might have happened if they had of been cornered. I think it's disgusting when people prey on others like this and they are nothing but lazy scumbags that I hope end up caught and jailed for a long time eventually.

Sheena, I'm saddened to hear of this recent event. I hope they will eventually catch the criminals and your stolen goods returned.
