Wheelchair Repair Woes  

As many of you know, I had my wheelchair implode a month ago. Today, I got news from my insurance company saying they were not going to pay for the repair because they didn't pay for repairs to neglected equipment. Excuse me, I didn't neglect anything! The thing imploded when my assistant plugged it in. I only owned it for 9 days. How much could I have neglected it even if I did? Which I didn't. Now I have to file an appeal. As I type this, I'm on hold making sure they got the fax.

Lucky for me, the woman who was here working for me when the chair came can go to my appeal hearing with me and tell them that no one told me anything about the chair blowing up if it was plugged in wrong. No one even told me there was a wrong way to plug it in and she can verify all this. I wonder what happens to people who 1. have no witnesses and 2. aren't as strong of an advocate as I am. I suppose they get screwed. End of rant.
