My french toast disasater!!!!

hmmm well it all sounded quite nice, too bad it didn't work out, I have a lot of disasters as i am not a good cook...I have even spent a good hour waiting for muffins to rise and I had my guests watching as well....simply to discover I forgot to turn the oven on...I am hopeless when it comes to cooking...

Yes, definately. Last week my daughter wanted to be a hippy for Halloween so I thought I would tie die a shirt for her. I have never tie dyed, so I went to the craft store and bought a kit where you just have to squirt the dye on the clothes. Well I wrapped up the shirt in rubber bands, because that is what I saw someone else do when they tie died. Then I started to squirt the shirt. Then I realized that a whole part of the shirt didn't get any die, so I started squirting there, then I just took it out of the rubber band and started squirting it all over. I don't know what I was thinking. It came out OK considering but it wasn't anything really like a tie die. It was kind of like a spotty blended shirt, but it still looked kinf of hippy like. I don't think she will wear it again though, like she might of had I done a good job. LOL

Well this is a long time ago but we used to do this thing when I was a kid called "Wolfy's Diner". We'd take whatever we could find in the kitchen and cook things. One day we decided to do brownies. Well we had no chocolate, only cinnamon, and no baking powder, only baking soda. What we ended up with was something kind of like gluey, baked French toast. It was edible, just barely!

Sounds like you made yourself some French Toast croutons. Not sure how that would taste on a salad. I once decided to use peanut butter in my cookies instead of the butter that the recipe called for. They had an ok flavor, but the texture was a bit strange.

Oh my goodness!!! Mssnow, you sure made me smile on this one. I would feed them to the birds. I always make my french toast on the stove. I have never baked it in the oven. I make more than what I need for the meal. I then freeze the extra ones. The kids just pop them in to the toaster on a low setting. Works like a charm.

Sounded like you had a good thing going. Too bad it didn't turn out. I forgot to add a second egg to my meat loaf once. It wouldn't hold together. So for dinner we had meat loaf crumbles. I had to mix it with mashed potatoes. Still edible, but not what was intended.

Too bad it didn't turn out well. But I guess even the best cooks sometimes have disasters so dont let that affect you . Happy cooking.
