I used to work out all the time when i had time. It seemed that i get less time a day and then when i have a chance to work out i just don't. How do you find the motivation to make it to the gym or workout at home more often? It's just that since i turned 30 i feel that i'm slipping from the awesome body i used to have and really want it back. Any tips on how to get more motivated?

I know this is a real old question to be answering, but I would like to do so, and see what has changed for you in the two years since you asked this, especially given that you only had two answers. I wrote a training program exactly for this issue, after discussions with a business owner about feedback he was getting from his subscribers. The question I would ask before giving any sort of detailed answer is 'when you were going regular, how did you feel in advance of going to the gym? And how do you feel now?'

I go to the gym five timess a week, I train hard and I love it, my main motivation is that if I don't go to the gym I easily slip back into a deep dark depression, I was diagnozed with depression in 2003, antidepressants don't work for me, but training at the gym does, it's a marvelous remedy that is my main motivation. The other motivation is that I was badly bullied about my weight which made me absolutely determined to lose weight. I have lost 3 stone and I am working on my stomach to get a body I am happy with, I want to prove to the bullies and myself that I can be slim. It also helps to have a gym buddy as well to encourage you. I have my Ipod and my determination to prove others wrong that gets me eager to the gym 5 times a week without fail.

Heck if I know! LOL After my husband ripped his Achilles tendon he wasn't into working out like he was before we met. Even after we got our home gym it took him a while to get back into working out on a regular basis. But with him having a physically demanding job I don't blame him for not wanting to work out. What we have been doing lately is working out together. Although we do miss some days here and there, we've at least been keeping up with it this year, compared to in the past. But sometimes he can be so darn distracting, it makes it difficult to work out! LOL So, the only suggestion I have is if you have someone you can work out with it might help you be more motivated! Good luck!
