I am talking about even the ones who do not live with
you.I would like to do this every year, but my kids do
not think it is important enough to show.I have planed
year after year and they always have a reason for not
showing up.They do not realize this hurts me.They say
they will come, and at the last minute bail out.

Thanksgiving is all about family. I have not lived near family in the past, this is the first time in a long time. We have not talked about plans yet, but I'm sure that we will do something before or after. I would prefer to spend Thanksgiving with just my wife and kids.

Thanksgiving is a very big holiday for my family. I come froma very big family and I always have Thanksgiving Dinner at my house. Last year I had a total of 35 people eating at on time.
Most of the time people go from Halloween straight to Christmas and skip over Thanksgiving. I enjoy it as much as Christmas. I think everyone should set aside one day ayear to be thankful for what we have. I hope your kids surprise you and show up this year.
Maybe if you ask one of them to have Thanksgiving Dinner and you would come and help them prepare it they would take more of an interest. Hard to bail out when your the host! LOL
