I just heard this on the radio as well.
I grew up reading most of his novels.
The mystries he manages to inject into the stories, and the twists at the end of it always managed to capture me enough to read thru the whole book!
And many of the novels he wrote actually made it to the movie screen!
The world lost a talented author.
May he rest in peace.

Well, you cannot deny that his stories are really good.
And the way he writes them really engages you to want to find out more with each page turned.
The writing world has lost a very good author.
Looking at his list of novels, which one is your favorite?
How bout the movies based on his novels? Which is your favorite movie?

My son is an aspiring writer , he was really up set about Michael Crightons passing. He was one of the best of our time. Robert had said someday he wanted to meet the man, now he will never have the chance.

its so sad to want to meet some one famous and then never get to.. but who knows that might be a good thing.. im not saying anything about michael but some people that meet their idols are really disappointed afterwards
one reason why i never want to meet anyone i like.. i would want to be able to enjoy their work afterwards where if they were a jerk to me i couldnt...
but like i said that has nothing to do with michael.. and if it would have been a good experience it is sad indeed

Michael Crichton. Such a shame he passed. I thoroughly enjoy his books; I believe I've read all of them except State of Fear(couldn't finish). I thought Prey was an excellent novel, it really makes you think of how nanotechnology could be just as dangerous, potentially more so, than any weapon currently possessed by mankind...
