Based on the scripture in Hebrews 11:1 By faith is the substance of things HOPED,and the EVIDENCE of things NOT SEEN. Hope is faith The evidence was the people who THOUGHT the miracle could not happen The evidence was the effort that each race put forth to cast their vote The evidence was the power of PRAYER Hope + Action = CHANGE Now that a change of office has occurred can we continue to pray for protection and guidiance for the NEW PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

I believe greatly in prayer.. but still feel the world will go a certain way.. and also see the trends already in the world.. I feel that apocalypse began at the very 'beginning' of the human race when we were endowed with the ability to choose (an offshoot of thinking ability).. I think the further away a nation goes from the creator.. the faster apocalypse escalates.. My biggest concern I have prayed for, for a long time is for far less to no terminating of preborn children to occur, for I believe this is a great destroyer whether one thinks in terms of God's anger.. or "karma".. I believe however that both major parties of this campaign and past ones, are well intentioned.. they just have different angles of seeing things and different top concerns.. I just wish they would listen to one another instead of blithely dismissing one another's concerns as not valid and ridiculing them.. (shaking head) - No I am not all that much of an optimist when it comes to mens (mankind's) affairs.. I hope to see strong checks on power both in nations and in the world.. The worst thing that can ever occur is for lots of strong power to become centralized.. in say, a world governing. Mankind's history highlights that man in power cannot be trusted, and I think we are in for trouble if we ever do trust too much and put too much power in anyone's hands without strong checks and balances.. However, I do think history has been made with this election!.. and even the (slow) move toward a world governing is a good and unavoidable thing.. I mean how can we not try for world peace? But alas, I am hugely pessimistic concerning it, due to human nature as it is and has always been.. and I know that the book of revelation/apocalypse says that eventually it is a u.s. president who steps into the major seat of the u.n. (oneday) and becomes the final antichrist.. rev 13:11-18, and 1-10. (Albeit, not yet!) ..all the best! Thanks for letting me rant away..!

I believe in the power of prayer. I believe prayer changes things. But I believe that he won because it was his calling, God called him, and he responded.

You pose an interesting question. You are speaking as if the results of this election are a miracle that has been brought about by prayer. It is almost like you are saying that this is something great and good that prayer has wrought for our nation. I know that God is sovereign and that He presides in the affairs of men. But I also believe in God's perfect will and His permissive will.To your question about prayer and this election, if I as a believer am praying for a certain candidate and I am trying to pray according to the will of God; how would I pray? Would I pray for a candidate who is for the right for a woman to have her unborn child murdered, is God for murdering the unborn. Would I pray for a candidate that has some unholy associations with:a pastor, namely Reverend Wright that spews out anti-American, racist garbage from his pulpit; an unrepentant domestic terrorist, one William Ayers; and a pro-palestinian anti Isreal professor. You get the picture about the president elect and as a bible believing Christian praying that he win and voting for him.It seems to me like a conflict of interest. Not to mention our national security, which I think is in greater peril with Obama as president. Here is something to consider, maybe I am wrong, but what if God allowed Obama to win as a way of chastening America for her immorality, violence, and materialism.Think about it and pray about it. Just my view based on what I understand about God's word.

No I do not believe that prayer played a major role in the presidential election. Does God love McCain less than Obama? Is God a respector of man? I believe we can pray for guidance for the new president just not buying in on God intervening on the outcome of the election. How many that voted were even followers of God? Obama was elected by man not God.
